Ky
I'm inside playing basketball at the Lakers practicing facility. I shoot a three and I make it.
I came to practice early to practice my shots.
Lonzo comes in and I give him a bro hug.
"What you doing here?" I asked.
"Same thing as you nigga!" Lonzo laughs. He sits on a chair and puts on his basketball shoes.
Lonzo gets his ball and starts to shoot around too.
"So, how is Danielle doing?" Lonzo asked.
"She is cool she just be ch-" I start to say. I realize who I'm talking to.
"What the hell!" I say.
"Bro, you've been talkin to my cousin for months now. I can't believe I didn't catch on sooner!" Lonzo shoots another shot and he makes it.
I stand there in shock.
"Don't tell her that it's me, please." I say to Lonzo practically begging him.
"I won't tell her," Lonzo says.
"Thank yo-"
"I won't tell her if you tell her it's you she's talking to and you have to tell her soon! Why are you keeping it a secret?" Lonzo asked.
"I don't know man, I guess I want her to like me for me. You feel it?" I asked.
Lonzo nods. "But still. You have to tell her."
"Fine, just give me some time." I say frustrated.
"Fashoo!"
Danielle
"Your stupid." I say laughing at what Ky said.
He laughs too. We both continue to talk and all of a sudden he starts acting weird.
"Are you okay?" I asked him worried.
It takes him a while to respond, but he does. "Yeah, um- I'm fine!"
I can tell he is lying to me.
"You sure, ugly?" I questioned him further.
"Yes." he sighs.
There is a silence that falls over our conversation.
"Actually, I have to tell you something." Ky says.
"What? What is it?" I asked him curiously.
He goes silent, again.
This time I'm the one who lets out a sigh.
"Man, never mind. It can wait!"
"Are you-" I start to say.
"-Yes, Shorty. I'm sure."
With that he hangs up the phone.
I sit in my room shocked. He just hung up on me without saying goodbye.
I felt kinda hurt by this, but I just forget about it. It's not that big of a deal.
The biggest thing on my mind right now is finding out what Ky was going to tell me.
