A/N: This will be the first chapter not in first person. It just wouldn't work out in first person pov. Sorry.

A battlefield raged on and in the epicenter stood two people. One male and one female, both with waist length hair; one pitch as black and the other the red of blood. Creatures of darkness guarded them while tearing into the humans with bloodlust.

"It is our time, Love," the woman chuckled softly before turning to the man and looking into his deep amethyst eyes.

"Are you hungry?" He licked his lips as he looked to the field of destruction surrounding them.

"I'm starving," she purred before kissing him deeply on the mouth. When they pulled apart it wasn't out of propriety but because a few humans had broken through and tried to sneak up on them.

Both pulled apart before arming themselves in shadows and demons; the horrors in the dark encapsulated their bodies letting out screams of devastation. His eyes, even the sclera, turned completely black but hers turned completely red. They looked as though they were two parts of one whole as they moved in sync.

His feet shot him from the ground with a sonic boom as he flew into the compacted circle of the humans. The trajectory pushed their bodies apart, making it easier to pick them clean. Viscera and blood painted a beautiful picture upon the landscape. Screams of rage, war, and fear seemed to echo all around them.

Red hair that dripped with fresh blood fanned out as the female spun in a tight circle; landing both daggers in her hands across the necks of ten warriors. Demon beasts cloaked in shadows jumped on unsuspecting humans and tore them from limb to limb; munching on their dinner. Everything, although painted in blood, was cast in purple because of the planet in the sky. It made everything all the more disturbing and gave the blood a darker look.

"Inclementia! You look ravishing," shouted the male as he laughed uproariously at the pale skin stained red with her victims blood.

A/N: Inclementia is Latin for Harshness; Cruelty, as well as the red head's name given to her by the masses.

Inclementia turned her head slightly and gave a mild smirk before licking the blood that dripped from her forehead and to her tongue. Salty.

"The better to seduce you with," she saucily responded before her hourglass figure seemed to flicker out of sight.

She reappeared in front of one of the 'generals' of this army before shooting a hand out with the dagger aimed at his vulnerable neck. The man reacted quickly and blocked with his soul weapon; a large claymore made of metalite and demon cores, from the demonic energy it released. Inclementia leaped back using the force of the clash, landing on her dainty feet almost delicately.

He charged her in a flickering manner before she side stepped and hit the pummel of her dagger to the back of his neck. His foot caught on her outstretched one and before he could reach the ground she shoved her fist forward. In a matter of minutes a bloody heart was held in her hand. She regarded it curiously before a sadistic smirk graced her ruby lips.

Slowly, she brought the heart towards her mouth and bit into the organ. Enrapture, pure bliss. Life blood was absorbed before the heart turned to dust and blew away with the Northern Winds.

Lily:

I lay there panting for what felt like hours as I tried to discern where I was and who I was. It all felt sluggish to me and I couldn't decide what had me so afraid. Sweat clung to my skin, cooling it as the last of the dream slipped away completely.

Why does it feel as though I just had some sort of terrifying dream? I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I pushed my white and pink strands from my face. My hand stopped and pulled my hair back to my face but the only light was from the balcony. With a bit of my magic I flickered a light on, ensconcing the room in its ember glow.

Flummoxed, completely flummoxed. Pushing the blankets aside, I made way towards the bathroom attached to my room and turned the light in there on as well. A mirror was situated to my left above the sink. I stared at my reflection in confusion and bafflement. At first I had thought my vision faulty but staring back at me was the proof that it was completely fine.

One strand. That was all that had changed. One strand of my white and pink hair was now a deep red the color of blood. Chills raced down my back and I was unsure why a strand of hair could cause such a reaction. I tried to recall why but nothing came up. Having your hair randomly change color, even if it were only a chunky strand, was rather disconcerting though.

"I must be losing my mind. Perhaps instead of being so frightened that my hair gains grey it now pops up with red? Maybe this world is strange in that manner," I mumbled to my reflection.

Something else caught my eye though and it wasn't something I could easily brush off. I leaned closer to the mirror as I braced my hands on the sink to give myself leverage. There.

I bit my lip to hold back the sound of fright that began to bubble up. My usual blue and pink eyes had changed as well. Where before there had been a slight pink tinge alongside the blue, now there was a red tinge instead. No longer was there any hint of the pink that once was there. It wasn't as noticeable as the hair strand due to the previous pink but on closer inspection it was blatantly obvious that it was not pink but red.

"What in the hell is happening? This is beyond the usual strange, even for myself. No doubt that Damon will have something to say about these strange happenings," I whispered again to my mirror self. For only a second it looked as though the reflection smirked viciously at me but it was gone before it registered.

Strange. With that thought and my bed not ten feet away from me, I decided that sleep was probably for the best. I'll deal with all this strangeness when my brain is working properly from actual sleep.

A/N: This chapter is slightly shorter than I had planned but I honestly don't feel like I could push much more out on it without it feeling dragging to myself or delving further into areas that I don't want to yet. Hope you enjoyed.
