You are a lighter, and I'm a cigarette;

Harmless until we intervene,

Fatal when we do.

Suit wearers and ragged clothing,

Oh, how society has been divided up by wealth.

I remember back in the days when humanity was driven to the brink of their extinction.

Well, it didn't matter if society had developed, if human beings had evolved into bigger greedy baggage,

Because at the end of the day, the sun will set and they will leave by my fingertips.

___________________________________________

A girl with a cheeky smile capable of enlisting as a flawless feature,

A wooden guitar case hastily slung over her shoulder as she wandered the busy littered streets.

Day or night, no one really cared.

Just another soul, a useless teen with an obvious shady future they would say.

Balisongs, guns, dip dyed strands and a heart-lightening smile buried behind that miserable face.

Who was she?

A tight lipped boy, the same pair of intimidating grey eyes

A pack of forbidden cigarettes sitting in his pocket as he wandered the busy littered streets,

Day or night, no one really cared.

Just another soul, a useless teen with an obvious shady future they would say.

Hand sanitizers, cigarettes, blunt words and blood-setting steel eyes to greet the world every breaking day

Who was he?

Gun handlers. Blade wielders. Cigarette carriers.

And a soul taker (that's me by the way)

The perils of society had never tied together so well.
