"ALRIGHT, GOODBYE HARRY. STAY safe." Sirius said quietly, saying goodbye to Harry who was currently in Hogwarts and communicating with him through the Floo network.

He worried for his godson, he really did. How he wished that he was with him right now and not in hiding. Unfortunately, he is not proven to be innocent yet and  has to remain out of sight.

"Who are you talking to at one in the morning?"

Sirius jumped at the voice. He turned around only to see Arabella. Her eyes sleepy and her hair a mess. A blanket wrapped around her tall, thin frame. She rubbed her eyes as she sat down next to Sirius in front of the fireplace.

"Just Harry, love." Sirius said, moving closer to Arabella and draping an arm over her shoulders.

Arabella's eyes widened in worry. "What? Is something wrong?"

"Why do you always assume that something's wrong when I say that it's Harry?" Sirius asked with an amused grin.

"Let's face it, Harry is the poster child for getting into life or death situations. The kid practically attracts danger. I mean he's the fourth Triwizard champion. Listen to the absurdity of that-"

"Alright, Belle. You've got a point." Sirius said with a laugh, cutting off Arabella's rambling.

"I'm sorry, it's just... I worry about him, you know?" Arabella sighed sadly, looking down and shaking her head.

"Hey." Sirius said, putting a finger underneath Arabella's chin and tilting her face so that she could look at him. "I worry about him too. But he's Harry. The kid's been through so much already. He can face anything at this point."

"I know that. I'm just scared that one day it'll be more than he can handle-"

"And we'll be there for him when that time comes." Sirius replied, cutting her off yet again with a determined smile on his face.

"I hope so. James and Lily chose us to be Harry's godparents. I just don't want to disappoint them." Arabella said, relaxing slightly and placing her head on Sirius' shoulder.

A comfortable silence engulfed the two as the warmth of the fire that burned in front of them illuminated their faces. Sirius wished he could stay in that moment forever. It was nice, quiet, tranquil. He just wished that Cass and Harry were with them as well, and that he was a free man. He wanted them to become a proper family. He wanted to catch up on all the years that he missed out on Cass, Harry, and Arabella's life.

"Hey, Sirius?" Arabella called out, breaking the silence and Sirius' train of thought.

"What is it, love?"

"What did you and Harry talk about? I feel like I wouldn't be able to sleep unless I found out."

"He just found out about the first task. Dragons."

"Really? I think he'll do just fine. I mean, he did have me as his Defense Against the Dark Arts professor." Remus joked, but tiredness was evident in his features. He made his way over to where the two were and seated beside Sirius. "I swear, if you two talk any louder it's not just me who you'll be waking up."

"Sorry, Rem." Arabella apologized with a sheepish smile.

"It's alright. I had trouble sleeping anyway." Remus said, shrugging it off.

"You know, I still have no idea on how you two were able to locate me." Sirius said, his head tilting in confusion. "It just baffles me. I've been thinking about it constantly since you two arrived here. So please tell me so that my mind can be at ease."

"Well, it did help that you kept sending in pretty exotic birds and we kind of just started there." Arabella said as if it was no big deal.

"Yeah and we're either really good detectives or you are just terrible at hiding. I hope it's the first one." Remus said laughing, Sirius and Arabella joining him as well.

"Hey! The ministry hasn't caught me yet so..." Sirius said defensively.

"Yet we were able to find you."

"I think that says more about the ministry than us."

"Oh by the way, sorry you had to stop being a professor Remus. I knew you loved teaching those kids." Arabella said, smiling sadly.

"Oh, it's fine." Remus replied, waving it as if to say 'it's nothing'.  "Besides, parents would eventually find out about me being a werewolf. And, I'm not the only one who willingly left their post."

"What? Listen, I've been away from Sirius for more than a decade, I'm spending as much time with him as I could." Arabella said, snuggling closer to Sirius.

"You two make me sick." Remus rolled his eyes at the two but a smile was present on his features.

"Oh, we make you sick? You're the one constantly pushed us to be together in fifth year and saying that we were meant to be." Sirius scoffed jokingly.

"Was I wrong?" Remus asked sarcastically. "Frankly, I was getting tired of the whole will they-won't they."

Sirius and Arabella laughed at this. And that's how the three spent the rest of the early morning, not going to bed until about 6 am. They laughed and reminisced on their days at Hogwarts and caught each other up on the years they had missed. Given the chance, that's how they would spend the rest of their days. Laughing as if nothing from the past had changed.
