JOHNNY'S POINT OF VIEW
•••

i laughed at mackenzie's horrified expression, but at the same time, i felt slightly guilty, seeing as she had been trying to prove me wrong, causing to get her detention.

i decided i'd just get myself detention, just so we're quits, and so in history, i put my plan to action.

as i took my seat, madison, another girl in my year, came up to me. "hey johnny boo!" she squealed. i rolled my eyes. she was obsessed with me, and i should probably be flattered, but it's just plain annoying.

i'd chosen to date her the week before kenz and i got together, and i highly regret that decision.

that probably makes me sound like a player, and i won't deny it, but i don't do it for fun. it's just...all the girls i date are whiny, or clingy, or even rude and bratty and it gets on my nerves.

"okay class. today we are continuing our discussion about enchancia. i had told you all to research about the positive and negative sides of it, so now one by one, share your thoughts.

people raised their hands and gave suggestions. i looked over and kenzie, and saw her biting her nails.

she'd forever had that habit, and had tried to get it of it, but obviously failed. it was quite cute. well, that's what i used to think back when we were together.

i shook my head, erasing thoughts of kenzie, and stared at my history teacher. "those are great points, but there's one thing y'all missed. the stupidest man on earth came from enchancia." mr. frank, my teacher announced. i smirked, and raised my hand.

"oh! mr. orlando. nice to see you finally participate in class. what would you like to share?" he asked me. "i was simply wondering...are u from enchancia?" i question, an innocent expression on my face. "oh no! i have lived here all my life." he said, not seeing what i was implying.

"but that can't be right if you live in toronto." i said. "what do you mean?" mr. frank question, looking confused. the rest of the class had caught on, and were all watching intently.

"well, you said the stupidest man was from enchancia, but you live here, so then the stupidest man would be from toronto." i stated simply. the class gasped at my daringness, while i waited for mr. frank to snap.

his usual pale face turned red, as i shrunk back in my chair. "detention. after school." he growled. i nodded carelessly, and from the corner of my eye, i could see kenzie enjoying this. i grinned, and mr. frank sighed, and walked back to his desk, continuing with his discussion on enchancia.

KENZIE'S POINT OF VIEW

"guys i'm sorry i can't sit with you guys today." i apologised to lauren and annie at lunch. "what why!" they asked me in sync. "uh i have some work to finish." i said lamely.

they nodded suspiciously, evidently not believing me. "i wasn't listening in class, so i have to catch up." i added, to make my story more believable.

"too bad. see you next class?" annie asked, with a pouty face. i nodddd, and waved. "have fun with that uhh work you're doing." lauren smirked. "what-" i asked, turning red.

"well, there was a piece of paper in your locker when i went to get the project from it this morning." she grinned, cheekily.

i blushed, embarrassed, and waved, before rushing off.

i say at the bleachers until johnny arrived. "hey." he said, sitting down next to me. i smiled.

"firstly, what you did in history. great job." mackenzie exclaimed, chuckling. "yeah i felt bad for getting you detention." he replied. i felt my heart go soft. how sweet.

"anyway, i wasn't sure if you knew, but remember how i told brandon and molly we're dating?" he asked me.

i nodded. "yeah well, uh...they've gone and told everyone." he said. my eyes widened. "no no noo." i muttered. "what do we do!" i asked him, worried.

"there are only two things." johnny said, and gave me the options.

"if you're sure you're okay with it, the second one." i said. "i'm fine. but no telling anyone. not even lauren and annie." he warned me.

"but i tell them everything!" i protested. "yeah well not this. if we fool them, we can fool everyone." he said. i sighed, nodding in agreement.

"but then you can't tell carson and hayden." johnny sighed as well, but agreed anyway. just then, the bell rang, indicating lunch was over, so johnny and i waved goodbye, and walked to our different classes.
