When All Hope Is Lost

Last time...

"Marinette please try and talk to them, if anything you should be mad at Chloe or even me but please I beg you don't be mean to your friends!"Ezira pleaded. However, the bluenette didn't budge so Nino took that as his cue to walk in.

Now...

Nino cleared his throat.
"Hey, Ezira! Hi Marinette, everything ok?"

After a few seconds, Marinette started to tear up and ran to Nino.
Nino shushed her and rubbed her back as she cried. Ezira looked at the two and picked up on their sister-brother bond.
'Marinette's lucky to have such good friends.'

A few more seconds later, Mari peeled herself away from her 'brother' and wiped the rest of her tears away. Ezira then gave Mari a blue bear from her locker and had her sit down. In a whisper, she said to Nino that Mari was still shaken up by the events this morning and she thought it would decrease in a few days. But for now, she needed her space.

Nino was worried but glad when Ezira promised to look after her. Finally, the bell rang and Marinette sprinted to class holding Ezira's hand.

Hiding the bear in her bag, they walked in. To both girl's relief, Chloe was nowhere to be seen. Sabrina gave the girls an apologetic look.
The girls were covered in bandages and Ezira had a sore almost black eye. Adrien looked at them as well, Chloe had sure done a number on them.

After lessons, they walked out but before they got on their boards, Alya stopped them. "I need to talk to Marinette. MY best friend!"

Marinette shrunk back from Alya in fear. "Alya keep it down your scaring her!" Alya huffed, "No! You need to leave my friend alone! Did you put some kind of spell on her? I know what's best now move!"

She shoved Ezira who fell down and slightly winced in pain. Marinette immediately ran over to her and helped her up. Marinette gave Alya a cold glare as the girls walked towards their abandoned boards and rod off. Nino tried comforting his girlfriend but also worried over his little "sister."
