I looked around and smiled. It had been forever since I'd seen the Ice Castle this full. It was finally the day Yurio and Yuri would be competing. I was excited, but worried for Yuri. He didn't get back to the house until and I didn't really know if that was good or bad. I knew he was probably trying to figure his skate out. He had Eros down, but there was still something missing.
I smiled at him when I saw him walk in. He waved and I walked over to him. I could see the bags under his eyes. I sighed and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at him and grinned, "You'll do great." He nervously nodded, obviously more focused on the crowd. I frowned and grabbed his chin, forcing him to look at me.I could tell he still wasn't paying attention so I grabbed the sides of his head and pulled it down so out foreheads were touching.
Of course, that gets his attention he stared into my eyes and I could tell he was scared. "Listen Yuri, you will do amazing. Even if you mess up, you'll do great. It's time you took your own advice and stopped caring what others think. Just worry about getting your story across. Got it?" I felt like I was being harsh, but it's all I knew to do. I saw tears pool into Yuri's eyes and I felt dread run through me.
I was about to apologize when he pulled me into a hug, nuzzling his nose into my neck. I felt wet spots soak through my shirt and I knew his tears has fallen. I heard a quiet "thank you" before he stood straight, wiped his eyes and walked. I saw he was headed to the side of the rink.
The competition was about to start and I saw Yuri walk out wearing his outfit. My jaw dropped and I had to resist the urge to squeal at seeing another one of Victor's past skating outfits in person. When Yuri got his I was one of the first people for him to show. It was amazing.
I heard the announcements start as they called for Yurio to go and begin his short program. He took off his skate guards and got on the ice. I leaned on the side of the rink, my attention glued the ice. Yurio began his performance the was I had seen his do several times before. It was beautiful and you could feel the love radiating off of him. I smiled as he performed it perfectly.
I hate to admit it, but Yuri is going to have to have made a lot of chances to beat him. Yurio finished his performance and I clapped. He did amazing, I waved at him and gave a thumbs up as he got off the ice but he only ignored me. I sighed and shook my head. Yuri got onto the ice when they introduced him. I saw him speak to Victor for a moment before skating over to me.
I gave him a smile and he stopped in front of me, staring. I furrowed my brows. "Did you need anything?" I asked curiously. He stayed silent for another minute and I waited for an answer. I was about to tell him that he'll need to go soon, but was stopped and he quickly moved forward, his lips meeting mine. I felt my cheeks heat up as I heard voices and the sound of cameras clicking. Yuri pulled away and smiled at me. He had a pink tint to his cheeks, but I knew mine were worse.
Yuri skated to his starting position and I gently touched my hand to my lips. I still felt sparks that were slowly fading. I watched Yuri, refusing to take my attention away. I heard questions, comments, and cameras all around me, but my gaze refused to break, even if I told me to.
There was definitely something different, I could tell by the way he was standing. I watched as Yuri did what I considered the hottest part of his program. He looked up and a smirk formed on his face. I grinned as he kept going. I heard Victor whistle and a small laugh formed in my throat.
Yuri continued and I had to fight the blush on my own face. Victor told him he needed to show more Eros and I could practically feel it now. It was as if his entire aura was Eros right now. Yuri finished his program and I cheered, clapping my hands. I felt a nudge and turned to see Yurio walking away with his suitcase. I tilted my head as Yuuko ran after him. Hm... The results hadn't even been revealed yet, I didn't see why he was leaving so soon.
I saw Yuri getting off the rink and Iran over. I jumped and tackled him into a hug. Yuri laughed and managed to keep his balance. I smiled at him. "That was amazing!" Yuri laughed and stared into my eyes, "I should be thanking you for believing me." I felt a blush and nodded.
I released him and Victor came and began criticizing him. He did great, what is he talking about? Of course it wasn't perfect, but nothing was. Once Victor was done, we all sat around waiting for them to announce who won. Yuuko came back, but Yurio wasn't with her. I frowned as I heard the speakers sound.
I only heard three words out of everything, "Yuri Katsuki Wins."
I squealed and hugged Yuri again, he laughed and went onto the ice, waving at the crowd. He had a large smiled on his face as Victor skated onto the arena with him. I watched as someone got onto the ice and handed Yuri a bouquet of flowers. He smiled and thanked them. I watched until people began filing out. It got a bit crowded and I wasn't the best in crowds. I panicked a bit and ran into the nearest room which happened to be the locker room. I sighed in relief and sat on a bench, waiting until the sounds got quiet and the crowd disappeared.
I slowly peaked out of the room to see everyone was gone. I smiled a bit, I had some alone time to practice. I ran back into the locker room and gabbed my bag. It took a lot of convincing, but I managed to get it back along with my skates. My injury hadn't healed yet, but it wasn't like it was anything major. I put my skates on and went out to the rink.
Since I was alone, I decided to hook the music up to the speakers so I wouldn't have to worry about headphones.I went with my short skate and once I finished I would cool don by skating around the rink. After my breathing evened out, I went to the next song. I did this back and forth for a while.
I was going through You Only Live Once when hands grabbed my waist as I was lifted into the air and spun around. I saw Yuri out of the corner of my eyes with a smile on his face. I laughed and went with it. Now that I thought about it, this song would be a good couples skate, as well as History Maker.
You're so beautiful tonight, the way you look it feels so right
Don't wanna wait anther day, come on and take my breath away.
Yuri spun me around and picked me up during his spin and dipping me. I balanced my legs on his so I wouldn't fall as he spun. When he finished we both did an outside spread eagle, then turned our separate ways into a few jumps, mine consisting of combos and a triple toe loop, while Yuri did his own thing. I honestly wasn't paying attention, being too lost in the music.
We continued through the song, and I honestly couldn't tell you because I was on autopilot. All I know is before long I was on the cold ground with Yuri over me. The song wasn't over, which told me we must have messed up and I fell or Yuri dropped me. Yuri's breath fanned my face and I let out a sigh.
Yuri stared at me and I heard him begin fumbling with his words. "Uhm. I-I'm sorry. About the kiss... Earlier," He mumbled to the point I could hardly hear it. "It's fine," I said, letting out a breathy laugh. Yuri stared at me before quickly moving away and moving from over me.
I quickly sat up and looked at him. Yuri ran a hand over his face, looking stressed, before looking at me. "So... When are we supposed to do this whole break-up thing?" Yuri asked me. My heart that was once beating out of my chest, sunk to my stomach.
Damn you, Yuri Katsuki. You manage to mess with my emotions without even trying.
