Unexpected Love

Chapter 2

Elizabeth's POV
"Clary Fray. That's her name" I mumble as I smoothe out Clary's hair. Her freshly drawn rune a purplish color

I hadn't left her side at all. Not even to tend the wound on my stomach that was still bleeding. I didn't care though

Clary was my top priority

"I wonder how long it will take for her to wake up" The girl who I come to know is called Isabelle said

Right after she said that Clary gasped and shot forwards bumping heads with her

"Ow"Isabelle let out and Clary looks alarmed before I take her hand

"Wait, I don't know who you-"Clary begins before Isabelle cuts her off

"I'm Isabelle. I've never seen Jace so curious about a mundane. Or distracted" She says staring at Clary curiously

"Not a mundane" I say under my breath but Isabelle ignores it. "Like you saw earlier, distractions are dangerous in our line of work" Isabelle finishes

Clary looked at me completely confused before turning back to Isabelle. The two guys I had learned their name were Jace and Alec began waking over here

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Who's Jace?" Clary asks and Isabelle chuckles

"You really don't know much,do you? Which is surprising since your sister does seem to know everything."

Clary let's out a fusturated sigh giving me a confused glance before speaking up

"All I know is that some psycho took my mother, and now you people have taken me"

I roll my eyes "Clary they saved your life be thankful" I say as Alec's voice is heard

"A mundane shouldn't even be here" He grumbles crossing his arms.

"Where is "here" exactly?" Clary asks. "She's not a mundane, Alec." Jace says running his hands through his hair

"How do you know that?" Alec shoots back causing Jace to roll his eyes. "Because the seraph blade lit up when she touched it. Plus her sister is a shadowhunter" Jace points out

The pain in my stomach was beginning to increase and I can feel blood soaking through my dark shirt

No one seemed to realize so I just tried my best to ignore it.

"Look Isabelle can you" he motions to the seat as Isabelle sits down on the chair next to mine

"I'm Jace Wayland" Jace introduces sending Clary a smile as she still looks completely lost

"I'm uh-" She begins before getting cut off again

"Clary Fray, we know who you are" he says as Alec speaks up again. "Am I the only one who finds this unusual?" He says

I begin to take the shard of glass the was stabbing me deeply and I pulled it out quickly putting pressure on the wound

"You find everything unusual, Alec," Jace says rolling his eyes again. I behind to get slightly light headed as Alec moved to stand in between me and his sister but his back was facing me

"I have to report this to the clave" he grunts and Jace puts his hand up. "You know what? Dial it down a notch" He says as Isabelle chuckles

"My brother doesn't have a dial. I love you Alec, but you have a switch that's always on" She says just as black dots begin to appear and Clary looks at me entirely her eyes widening

"Liz your bleeding!" She exclaims causing everyone to stop and turn to me. "I-im fine" I say just as my eyes rolled back and I fell into darkness

The last thing I saw was two muscular arms wrap themselves around me and worried hazel eyes staring back at me
