A regular old vampire.

It had been a while since Buffy had dealt with a good old fashion dusty vamp taunting his dinner.

"Hey..." Buffy chimed cheerfully as she popped her head out the back door of The Magic Box leading into the dark alleyway, where the vampire was close to ripping open a poor boy's throat "...what's going on?"

As the vampire turned, snarling at her for interrupting his dinner, the innocent boy who was about to become the vampire's meal gulped in terror "Help me! Call the police!"

"Get outta here, girl."

Trying to keep herself from bursting out into laughter as the vampire continued to growl at her like she was just a normal girl, Buffy stepped further into the alleyway approaching the two of them.

Between the cocky vampire who hadn't seemed to realize who she was yet and the crying innocent who wanted her to call the cops, Buffy was a little bit amused.

This whole situation definitely felt like old times.

Just the idea of calling the cops made her snort. The police of Sunnydale were deeply stupid and would probably run screaming like little girls.

"Are you guys having a fight?" She asked using her best dumb blonde voice "Cos, you know, fighting's not cool."

The vampire and his soon-to-be victim both frowned, clearly having no idea of who she actually was.

To them, she was just some dumb blonde getting in the way.

Buffy had to admit, it was kind of nice.

She missed the element of surprise.

"Get out of here!" The boy yelled again, clearly still wanting her to run to go get some strong man to save him.

However, when Buffy merely smiled and continued to walk toward the vampire fearlessly, the vampire tilted his head curiously, clearly growing intrigued by the young blonde "No. No, she wants to stay." He breathed before turning to face her fully, a smirk forming on his face as he eyed her like a piece of meat "I don't mind a little appetizer."

At his words, Buffy frowned as it clicked.

He really had no idea who she was.

That was a first.

Since she moved to Sunnydale word about her had spread very quickly.

"Have you ever heard the expression Biting off more than you can chew?" She asked curiously only for him to frown in confusion at the fact that she wasn't terrified by his appearance "Ok. Um..." She contemplated for a moment, biting her lip "How about the expression Vampire Slayer?"

"What the hell are you talking about?"

Buffy let out a shocked breath at his question.

It had been so long since she had met a vampire who didn't know who she was.

She could admit, it was actually kind of funny, she could be a blonde surprise again.

"Wow. Never heard that one. Ok. How about oh, god, my leg, my leg?"

At her taunting, the vampire growled and rushed at her only for her to catch him off guard.

Punching him in the gut Buffy raised up her leg kicking him in the gut, sending the cocky vampire crashing to his knees.

As he stumbled she slammed her foot into the back of his leg shattering the bone.

A loud crack echoed through the cold night air.

"Oh, god!" He exclaimed in pain "My leg!"

"See? Now we're communicating." Buffy snarked only for him to rush up to his feet running right at her.

He shoved her up against the wall but she merely sent an uppercut to his face before shoving him away. Stepping around him she leaped up and kicked him in the back causing him to crash into the wall but he was back on his feet quickly, backhanding her across the face.

As she stumbled, he took advantage of her lack of balance and grabbed her, hauling her off her feet and holding her body over his head.

Groaning in pain as he tossed her onto the hood of a garbage can, Buffy ignored the sharp pain in her side and quickly swung her leg out kicking him in the face before climbing back up to her feet.

Flipping off the metal can, going over his head Buffy quickly landed on her feet behind him and kicked him hard it went flying through the air, crashing into a large wooden crate.

As the crate shattered around him, a piece of broken wood flew right toward Buffy.

Quickly catching it she used the stake to stab the vampire through the heart as he rushed at her again.

He quickly combusted into nothing more than dust.

His remains blowing with the wind.
