"YOU DID WHAT?" Violet yelled at the top of her lungs.

"I just decided to give him a second-"

"I cannot believe you, Jenson! This is not going to end well," she shook her head at me.

As expected, Violet was not very happy that I'd decided to give Harry a second chance. Her face had turned pink as it always did when she was flustered.

"Please Violet tell me when you became an expert in fortune-telling," I scowled at her.

She rolled her eyes at me. "Please Jenson tell me when you became so naive!"

"Why is it so bad that I've given him another chance? You didn't see him today, Violet. He was practically begging for me to forgive him."

"I just don't want to see you get hurt again, okay? I know how he is."

"I know that, Vi. But I'm a big girl. I know there's a risk of me getting hurt again, but what kind of a hypocrite would I be if I assumed that everything would go wrong before even trying? You know how I am. I have to at least try."

"I think you're making a mistake," Violet said with a sigh.

I gave her a small smile. "It's just a date. I'm not getting married to the guy."

"God, I hope not," she laughed. She bit the inside of her lip as she looked at me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to blow up on you... but I don't want that prick messing with your head again."

"It's okay." I smiled softly at her, plopping down next to her onto her fluffy white bed spread. "I know you're just trying to look out for me, but he's trying and I think he's got his head on straight this time."

"He's something alright." she said, pursing her lips and shaking her head. I could tell she still didn't agree with the subject, but decided not to press it any further. "Just please be careful."

The next morning I was eating breakfast when someone knocked on the door. Violet was off at a morning class and I had a free day, so I was enjoying morning cartoons. I was still in my pajamas and wearing my big round glasses, as I swung the door open, bowl of cereal in hand.

There stood Harry in jeans and a rolling stones t-shirt leaned up against the door frame. The second his eyes roamed over my penguin pajama pants a grin lit up his face.

"Mornin'." he grinned.

"Morning." I mumbled, opening up the door wider and standing back for Harry to walk in.

"Fairly Odd Parents?" he questioned, plopping down on the couch. I shrugged, sitting down on the other side of the couch and folding my legs underneath me. He settled into the couch and for a few minutes we silently watched cartoons together while I ate my cereal. It was actually kind of nice in a weird way.

"So, um, is there a reason you, uh decided to pay me a visit at nine-thirty a.m.?" I asked, sitting my bowl on the coffee table in front of me.

"Are you free tonight?" Harry asked.

"I am." I answered.

"Well, would you like to find yourself at my flat around six-thirty-ish?"

I grinned. "For our date?"

"Yes, for our date." Harry rolled his eyes playfully.

"Then, no." I deadpanned. I watched his face contort in confusion and then I burst into laughter. "I'm kidding, Harry! I'll be there."
