"She might not talk, but she can tell one hell of a story"
Dia doesn't talk by choice, only a few people know why. She communicates by sign language and so her friends were left with no choice but to learn the language so they can understand her.

"Would anyone like to make cupcakes with us?" Lila asked the Avengers who are sitting around.
They looked at one another before turning back to the little girl "sure" Steve smiled. Lila giggled and ran towards the kitchen.
Sam turned to his team members "am I the only one who thought she was going to ask us if we wanted to build a snowman?"
"Why would she ask us to build a snowman?" Bucky asked in confusion.
"Have you not seen Frozen?" Sam turned to the man.
"It depends on your interpretation" Pietro smirked as he stood up and made his way to the kitchen. Bucky glared at the back of Pietro's head.
"He's right" Sam agreed with him and walked away.
The others followed and entered the kitchen where they saw Cooper mixing cupcake batter with a whisk, and Lila setting up the cupcake trays "it's just you two? What happened to adult supervision?" Sam questioned.
"We do have adult supervision. Dia is right here" Cooper answered.
Just then, Dia's head popped up from underneath the kitchen isle, where she was getting the mixer, and hit her head on the counter. She frowned and rubbed the place where she got hurt.
"Are you alright?" Wanda asked. Dia looked up at the girl standing across the isle and nodded.
Her eyes trailed over the people in the kitchen, Sam, Wanda, Steve, Vision, Rhodey, Bucky, Thor, Bruce and Pietro are there. Conveniently, none of the Avengers she actually knows, are there.
"You're Dia, right?" Steve began. The girl nodded.
"And, uh, you've been living here for a week?" Sam questioned. Dia nodded again.
"How come we never saw you?" Bruce asked. Dia shrugged.
"My dad says you're all blind" Cooper spoke up.
"We're not blind" Bucky said.
"But you didn't see Dia until this morning. Her room is next to Pietro's" Cooper pointed out.
"You have been living next to me for a week?" Pietro questioned.
Dia nodded "I'm surprised you didn't hear the conversations at night"
The avengers stood in confusion. They don't know sign language so they don't understand what Dia just said "she said she's surprised you didn't hear the conversations at night" Cooper translated.
"Or the children playing with Biscuit" Dia added.
"Or us playing with Biscuit" Lila said.
"So let me get this straight" Sam began and leaned on the counter "you've been living here for the past week, sleeping in the room next to Pietro, and nobody said nothing because...?"
