This was one of Joe's worried about getting nose bleeds like he does. Getting one while intimate with his partner which had just happened.
Byron was away so Joe invited Jack over for the night. They had eaten and were watching a movie on the TV. Jack's hand make its way to Joe's hair and after playing with it for a few moments made its way to the back of Joe's neck where he pulled Joe into a kiss. It quickly got heated and before Joe knew it he was straddling Jack.
Both their shirts were somewhere on the floor. Joe's pants were unbuttoned and pushed down his thighs some. Joe was working on the bottom on Jack's pants when it happened. They had been kissing and Joe pulled back so he could get Jack's pants undone when he saw the blood on Jack's face. He reached up only to feel blood dripping from his nose. He got off of Jack and ran upstairs, locking himself in his room. Jack was confused as to what happened before he felt the blood on his face. He went to the bathroom to see that there were indeed a few drops of blood on his cheek he wipe them off before making his way upstairs to talk to Joe.
"It so embarrassing Zoe." Joe did the first thing whenever he need advise when he got upstairs, call his older sister Zoe.
"I can't say this has ever happened to me. Or anything like this. Just talk to him."
"But it's so embarrassing. What do I say? Hey sorry I bleed on you while we were making out. Like that would work."
"You don't know until you try."
"I don't want to try. I just want to forget this ever happened but I don't think I ever could. Plus Jack will probably never let me forget about this."
"Did you say anything before running away?"
"No. I just ran."
"Well try talking. You don't know what will happen until you try."
"Ok Zo. I'll try that and if it doesn't work I might but dig myself a hole and climb in it for a while, or forever."
"Ok Joe. You do that and let me know how it goes." Zoe hung up and instead of going and talking to Jack he sat in his room and tried to figure out what just happening.
Downstairs Jack was on the phone with Conor talking to him to figure out what to do about what happened with Joe earlier.
"So his nose just started bleeding and then he ran off?" Conor repeated back what Jack just told him to make sure what he heard is actually what was said.
"Yeah. I don't know what to say to him. I can't imagine how embarrassing this is for him. I mean worse things could happen. I just wish he would talk to me."
"I honestly don't know what to tell you bro. I would try and talk to him. Don't make him feel bad about it. Just talk and see what happens."
"Okay. I'll talk to you later. Just don't tell the others about this. I can't imagine how Joe would feel if the others knew about this."
"I won't. Bye." Conor hung up before Jack could reply.
Jack sat on the couch. He didn't know if he should go and talk to Joe or wait until Joe came to him. His answer came when Joe suddenly appeared in the doorway.
"Look I'm sorry. If you want to leave or break up, it's cool I understand." Joe didn't move from the doorway. Scared that Jack would take his offer and leave.
"Why would I leave. I don't care. You can't help when you get nose bleeds, and I'm used to it. It's not the first time I've had to clean up after one. Don't you remember what happened the first time we went out with the boys after getting together." Joe blushed knowing what Jack as talking about.
The first time the boys went out after Joe and Jack came out Joe got a nose bleed. He was dancing and was a little too drunk and didn't notice right away. He didn't notice until people started walking away from him. He made his boy back over to the boys and they told him. Joe was so embarrassed but Jack took him to the bathroom and cleaned him up. There was blood on Joe's shirt so Jack took off his hoodie and threw out Joe's shirt. That left Jack in just a t-shirt but anything to make Joe happy. Jack froze the whole way home but Joe was so upset about ruining his shirt that seeing him smile when Jack have him his hoodie made it all worth it. Even if it was Jack's favourite hoodie and he hasn't seen it since it was okay.
"Why did you bring that up?" Joe whined hiding his red face in his hands.
"To show you that I don't care. When that happened we had only been dating for a few months and our relationship was still new. Now we've been together for close to two years and if I still have to clean you up after a nose bleed I don't care." Jack had slowly made his way over to Joe. He gently grabbed his wrists and pulled his hands away from his face.
"How do you always know what to say to make me feel better?" Joe pulled Jack into a hug.
"I just know you so well." Jack kissed the top of Joe's head.
"So I'm guessing that nothing going to happen now."
"Yeah the mood's ruined. How about we get into comfortable cloths and watch some movies?" Joe nodded and made his way upstairs to change.
Jack picked up the shirts from the floor and put his on before folding up Joe's and sitting it aside. Joe appeared wearing just the hoodie that he took from Jack all that time ago.
"You've have it this whole time." Jack said seeing Joe wearing his hoodie.
"Do you want it back?"
"No. You look better in it than I ever will. Consider it yours." Joe smiled and sat down beside Jack. Jack wrapped his arm around Joe's shoulder and pulled him close to his side. Settling in for the night with no more nose bleeds.
