I blew out a breath. "Sophie!" I said, relieved. I saw her eyes glaze over, but they sparkled this time. her eyes opened in relief. "I... I remember..." she said in a daze. She dropped to her knees. "I can remember!" she whooped. Everyone cheered, and the Councillors looked at each other in approval. "I suppose... you will not need our assistance anymore." Councillor Terik said. "Nope! Foster always recovers." Keefe said, smiling at her a bit too affectionately. My smile faded slightly, and I cleared my throat uncomfortably.

I walked to the corner. More elves and I will hide! I thought in amusement. I walked under a ledge and I engulfed myself into the cool chill of the shade. I suddenly felt the chill disappear and I looked up and saw Linh coming over to me with another dreaded black orb. She dropped it behind her and sat down next to me. "So, did you do that on purpose?" she asked. I arched my brow.

"Um, what?" I asked. She smirked. "You know, when you were one inch away." she giggled. I blushed. "Um... Wait, Linh, no- that wasn't on purpose..." I stuttered. She laughed. We sat there for a while before she spoke up. "So, am I supposed to believe you or something?" Linh joked. "Well, believe what you want—"

I suddenly noticed Fitz walking out the door and, quickly apologizing to Linh, I approached him. He paled and I put a hand on his shoulder. He turned to me, opened his mouth like he was going to say something, but shook his head and glared then stalked away, out the door. I sighed and glared at his back.

I went to Sophie. I put my hand on her shoulder. She flinched and turned to me. "Oh! Um, Tam... HI!" she said. I chuckled at her awkwardness and a strand of loose hair flew into her face. I randomly brushed it behind her ear. She froze and blushed. I jerked my hand back and I felt my face burn. "Is this the wrong time to say something?" Dex said suddenly, pointedly glancing at the two of us.

"Um, sorry..." I mumbled uselessly. She smiled, and in the corner of my eye I could see Marella chuckling with Dex. "It's fine." she said. "Anyways, I'm fine now! So, we can all just go..." she said. "Guys, I'm fine now... I think I need some alone time now..." she said. They all nodded and went out the door. "I promise, I'll punch my brother! Just for you!" Biana called out. Dex and Marella had their arms around each other and they walked out, and Keefe, he looked sad and weary.

He flashed a weak smile at Sophie before leaving. I was about to walk out myself when Sophie grabbed my arm. "Wait-" she said. I turned to face her. "Thanks for... bringing me here..." she said. I smiled. "No need to thank me." I said. She smiled and we stood there for a minute before I spoke. "So, i'll go now, see you later, Sophie." I said. She nodded and I walked out. I pulled out my crystal and I whispered where I wanted to go, which, obviously, was back to the place I was staying.

I walked in and rushed to my room. I tugged at my bangs, deep in thought. I sighed and changed into pajamas. I washed up and hopped into the huge bed. I sighed. I'm going to tell Biana I like Sophie tomorrow. I thought. I will confess.

Suddenly, a thought made its way into my head. "Wait, but what if she rejects me? Or... should I not tell her? After all, she's still... well, recovering..." I mumbled. I closed my eyes and resisted the urge to yell. "Okay. I don't care. No regrets, Tam!" I said to myself, slamming my fist onto my open palm.

Well, at least I hope there will be no regrets.
