They are just joking right? How can my brother... d-died?

Continues flows of tears escape my eyes after I heard my father's words.

When I entered the mansion, I noticed how gloomy everyone is and saw my little brother, Kyle looking down and trembling while my mother is crying in my father's embrace.

When they noticed my presence, mother immediately runs towards me and hug me tightly as she continues to cry.

"Wha... what's happening?" I asked in my shaking voice. I felt something bad really happens as my heart throb with anxiety and pain.

My father motioned me to take a seat then he took a deep breath as he started to open his mouth. "Princess... Christopher, your older brother... he... he's gone... he's no longer here with us" he said with obvious difficulty as he closed his eyes and streak of tears flows from it

His word is like cold water pour on me and make my pale face paler and my heart that was throbbing with anxiety stop beating for a second.

"W.... what are you talking about? How come oniisama... d-died when... when he's inside the academy?"

"Your brother... he left the academy without permission because... because he said that he'll save you"

My body trembled as I heard his explanation.

"S... saves me? Why? Why will he do that? I am not in danger! I don't need him to save me!"

I am hysterical; I started to shout at them and my whole body is uncontrollably shaking until I fell into my knees.

"Why? I... I don't need him to save me! I am alright! I am perfectly fine but why?... what happened father? Tell me... please"

I can't hear my own voice; my whole being turned cold and my fuzzy mind tried to absorb the absurd news about my brother's death and that he is already gone.

"The investigation team found out that he's been surrounded by groups of mountain bandits and died from fall when he tried to escape from them"

"Then... why not use the search and rescue team to find him. Oniisama is not weak and will not easily die from falling from stupid cliff!"

"We already did it, princess."

"Then... his body! Did you find his body? Unless there is a corpse then I will believe that he really is dead!"

Father's mood brightens up and nodded at me. "Maybe there will be possibility but it is slim"

"Slim or not, until there is a possibility that my son is alive, we sill find him" Mother who is crying in the side, immediate approach father and beg him. "Ceddie please look for my son. Celine is right. Until we have his corpse, we will not believe that he really died from that fall"
