Chapter 9

*Jonathans pov*
It was Thursday. I didn't want to go to school today. I got up pretty early to take a shower. But I ended up not taking one. Instead I went over to y/ns house to see how she was doing. I got to her house before she could leave. As I got to the first step of her front door, she opened it and locked it. I gave  her a small smile and she smiled back. I didn't know what to tell her so she walked pass me and went to her car. Before she got in it, I heard her sigh. She turned to face me. "What do you want Jonathan?" "I just came to see if you were okay. We haven't seen each other for two days." I really did want to see her, but I know she doesn't want me going near her. "Where's Amber?" I looked down when she asked me about Amber. "I broke up with her. She was cheating on me with her so called 'best friend' Jake." She just stood there with a blank face. Things were going to be awkward between us now. "Oh, well look Jonathan I gotta go. I told Evan that I'd pick him up today." Did I hear her correctly? My smiled faded away and became a frown. 'Why is she picking up Evan?' I didn't know what to say but I could feel my eyes starting to water up. She got in her car leaving me there. We made eye contact until I started walking away. I cried all the way home. When I got to my house, I took a shower and got ready. When I was done with everything, my dad took me to school. I looked around and didn't see y/n anywhere. I saw Amber making her way towards me. She hugged me and tried kissing me. I backed away from her and started walking away. She pulled my arm, and started talking. I heard a car pull up and it was y/n. She helped Evan get out a big teddy bear and some roses. I was confused about why they had those. Then I looked around and saw Kyle with Tyler and the rest of the guys. I thought it was going to be for Kyle but it wasn't. I saw Evan get on one knee and asked y/n if she wanted to go to the fall dance with him. She got on one knee and said yes. I was pissed. I wanted to ask her but I couldn't. I accidentally hit her. I was just staring at y/n the whole time. She turned and caught me staring. I felt tears streaming down my cheeks as I started running away. At this point, I didn't care about y/n anymore. She wasn't mine and I wasn't hers. I walked away from school grounds. All I could think about was y/n though. She stayed in my head. I didn't know what to do anymore. All I felt was a broken heart and it was y/ns fault. I had no one but my dad and Mary. This was bullshit. I didn't want anything to do with Evan or y/n anymore. They can burn in hell for all I care. If they're happy, then fine. I'll find someone better than y/n. It's going to get ugly but I didn't give a fuck. I know exactly who I'm gonna ask. This girls name is Heather. Evan has the biggest crush on her and she has a crush on him too. I decided to go get some things so I can give it to her while I ask her to the dance. It was in a week so I had to hurry. I went to the pharmacy and got roses, balloons, and a pink stuffed unicorn. After I was done paying for the things, I went home. When I got to my driveway, I heard girls talking. I was kind of scared since I thought it was Amber but it wasn't. It was y/n and Kyle. When I got to the front, they stood up. Kyle went up to me and gave me a quick hug. I gave her a small smile and looked at y/n. "Wow Jon, you gonna ask Heather to the dance?" 'How does y/n I was gonna ask Heather to the dance? Was it obvious that I was trying to get back at her and Evan?' I heard her giggle as she saw my face turn red. I sighed and went to unlock the front door. I set everything on the living room table and went back outside. As I stepped outside, I felt something soft on my cheek. It was a kiss from y/ns soft lips. I looked back up at her and saw that she was crying. I looked at Kyle and she went to sit y/n down. She then got up and came walking towards me. "She was hoping that you would ask her to the dance Jonathan. She loves Evan, but as a friend, nothing more. You caught her eye from the first day she arrived. She....she loves you Delirious." 'She used my nickname.' I sighed as I looked at y/n. She had her head in her knees. I went to go talk to her as Kyle went inside. I sat beside her and pulled her closer to me. She looked up and smiled. I wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead. She hugged me and kissed my lips. I could feel myself melt in the kiss. This is what I've been waiting for. This is what I wanted the whole time. I wanted to feel her sweet soft lips against mine. I kissed back roughly as I held her head. I couldn't help but tear up. This kiss was passionate, rough, and sweet. This was going to be a great memory for me. We broke the kiss to catch our breath. I looked at her and smiled. She gave a sweet smile back. I pulled her closer so I can hold her. We sat there for about 15 minutes until we heard a car pull up. It was y/ns car so I was kinda confused on who had her car. We waited to see who it was and saw Tyler with David, Lui, and Brian. They came up to us and sat with us. Tyler spoke up. "Well man, it looks like you got y/n back." I couldn't help but smile as he said that. I was happy that I got her back. I want and need her in my life. I looked down at y/n and saw that she fell asleep in my arms. I picked her up carefully and went inside with the guys following behind. They sat down as I went to go take y/n in my room. I set her down on my bed gently and kissed her forehead. I let her sleep as I walked away from her and into the hallway. I thought for a moment and smiled at my thought. 'I may have a chance with her now. I love y/n.' And with that thought, I went to go sit in the living room with the others.
