Sonic x Emotional!Human!Reader

Extra Note: You are definitely female in this if you aren't irl. And you are in a relationship with Sonic.

\\That time of month//

You were always so strange for one week, each month and it confused Sonic to no end.

You sat curled up on the couch you had, moping about and claiming this day was just the worst. Sonic, who had been invited over, stood in front of you, listening to your complain about everything, still very much confused by your sudden mood swings. One moment, you be absolutely fine, just craving certain delicacies. Other times you'd be yelling your head off at Sonic or to Sonic about things that bugged you. 

Not to mention how much you cried. It made Sonic feel guilty, as he thought he had caused it. So he would sit beside you and let you nuzzle your face into his neck as the two of you cuddled. He certainly enjoyed the affection you gave him, but not when you were upset. 

You had finished moping about everything and started looking at Sonic. 

"What?" He asked, tilting his head. You gazed towards the kitchen. 

"Can you get me the chocolate out of the fridge, please?" He froze in confusion. 

"But you just ate..?" And he definitely activated the waterworks in your eyes. You bawled your eyes out, the warm tears flooding down your cheeks and onto the blanket you were holding around yourself. 

"Are you calling me fat!?" You exclaimed at him, more tears escaping. Sonic sweatdropped and stepped back at your outburst. 

"Of course not!" In a flash, he disappeared and came back with the chocolate you wanted, though you didn't notice as you hid your head amongst the many folds of the blanket. Only when a bit of the couch near your fit dipped down somewhat, did you look up, tears pricking your eyes. 

Sonic outstretched his arms and you leapt into them, nuzzling your face into his neck affectionately. You pulled away from the azure hedgehog, spotting the chocolate with wide eyes. He gave it to you and pulled you into his lap, watching you happily nibble on the sweet treat. A comfortably silence overcame the two of you, as Sonic leaned his head on yours, watching the tv that had no yet been turned on. 

Looking back down at you, he pondered. So desperately did he want to ask you and find out what was happening with you, and yet he didn't want to trigger anything so he left it alone. Eventually, you fell asleep, curled up with your head on Sonic's chest, smiling slightly. Suddenly, you pulled your legs together tightly and sat up, wide awake. 

"I'll be right back." You told him, racing upstairs to the bathroom. Few moments later, you walked down the stairs murmuring to yourself. 

"It was like a murder scene down there.." Sonic's ear flickered as he heard your footsteps coming towards him. Leaning over the back of the couch, you placed a hand on his quills and rubbed them gently. A small purr escaped the hedgehog, causing him to blush in embarrassment and pull away from you. 

Your eyes dilated in size as more tears started to arrive. Sonic looked at you and raised his hands. 

"Don't cry, (Y/N)! Come here." You sat beside him, and reached towards his quills once more. For your sake, he didn't move and allowed you to touch them. You smiled and used your free hand to wipe away the tears in your eyes. 

About an hour later, Sonic had fallen asleep due to your gentle touch, his head now in your lap. You smiled to yourself and got comfortable, without disturbing the sleeping hedgie. 

== Timeskip to da next day! ==

Sonic was the first to awake from his undisturbed slumber, surprised he actually slept through the night. Usually, someone would wake him up, whether it'd be as simple as getting something from the store or fighting Egghead. He'd be pretty tired the next morning no matter how easy or difficult the task was. His gaze landed on your sleeping form. Your (H/L), (H/C) hair had become a mess, the blanket still wrapped tightly around you. 

The hedgehog stood up and walked into the kitchen, looking around to find anything that would help him cook breakfast. Everytime he came over, you'd cook, so he knew absolutely nothing about the whereabouts of the pans, or the simple toaster. Eventually, after about half an hour of searching, he found a pan and some pancake batter and was now cooking them. Well, at least trying to. 

He flipped a few and they ended up being alright, the others sometimes landed on the floor or.. his head, getting stuck in his quills. The hedgehog let out another groan of annoyance as another pancake landed in his quills. By now, they had lost any colour of blue and were now a gooey, white mess. 

With a yawn, you woke to the sound of Sonic in the kitchen. Tilting your head, you walked in, immediately biting your knuckle to stifle the giggles. Instead, you bursted out laughing from the sight of your boyfriend in front of you. Sonic looked at you, unimpressed but smiled after seeing you happy. 

"Let me show you how it's done, Little Hedgie." You told him, taking control of the cooking as he stepped away. 

"Go clean yourself up please, or I won't be able to stop laughing." Sonic arched a brow at you, seeing you giggling quietly. He rolled his eyes playfully and left. 

== Timeskip :p ==

After a nice, delicious breakfast, you and Sonic sat comfortably on the couch cuddling, your eyes closing.

"So.. (Y/N).. What happened?" You opened one eye to look at him with confusion written on your face.

"Hm?" He shifted slightly, seeming nervous.

"You just kept getting really upset and mad at me and everything else. And it keeps happening once a week every month. You're scaring me!" You closed your eyes and giggled lightly at him. 

"Sonic.. Do you really want to know?" Sitting up, you opened both eyes whilst tilting your head. 

"Yes!" He seemed desperate for an answer. 

"Alright.. But don't say I shouldn't have told you." 

== After a heap of explaining to the poor lil' hedgie ==

Sonic deadpanned, definitely scared now.

"You bleed for a week each month??" You nodded, leaning into his chest tiredly. 

"A lot of us girls do." He looked down at you, eyes wide.

"I have a newfound respect for girls everywhere.."
