Rosie's POV

"What?" I gasped.

"I am your father, Rosie." He repeated.

He got up and began walking towards me.

I got up from my seat and began walking away from him.

"Y-you can't be. My mother said he left as soon as I was born. It's why she started sleeping around. You can't be my father."

"She lied. She was the one who left me."

"No. That's not true. You're a werewolf, I'm human. Your lying."

"Rosie, why would I lie to you?"

"No. If you really my father you wouldn't just show up out of the blue. Why now!?"

"Because... b-because..." He stuttered.

"You can't even tell me."

I felt like I was on the verge of tears.

I ran up the stairs and entered my room.

As soon as I closed the door I let the tears fall.

Why now?

Why did he have to show up out of nowhere?

It's been 18 years.

He has two kids that he cared for and raised.

He just forgot about me.

His firstborn.

Why did he leave my mom?

Did he leave to be with someone else?

Was she more important than his family?

'Whats wrong?' Jonathan's voice appeared in my head.

'Nothing is wrong. Don't worry about it.' I lied.

'I can sense something is wrong. It's my job to worry. Tell me.'

'Don't you have work to do? Leave me alone.'

'It can wait. I will not leave you until you tell me. Where are you?'

'M-my room.'

'Stay put, I'm coming.'

He soon appeared in my room.

After one knock he just let himself in.

He had a worried and angry expression on his face.

As soon as he saw the tears on my face his expression softened.

He closed the door and embraced me in a giant bear hug.

I gladly returned as I let the tears continue to fall down my cheeks.

"What happened Cupcake?" He spoke. "What did you two talk about that left you this way."

"H-he's my father." I hiccuped.

He pulled away slightly to look me in the eye.

"Shouldn't that be a good thing?"

"Yes, it should be. But he had 18 years to come and find me and he shows up out of nowhere."

"You should let him explain. Maybe he had a good reason."

"He left me and my mom. What reason could he have possibly have had?"

"A good one." He grabbed my face with both hands and wiped away my tears. "Promise me you'll listen to what he has to say. I hate seeing you like this."
