Roselia's POV

-Wednesday-

10:35 a.m.

I awoke from the sound of loud, infernal banging on my bedroom door. It was a public holiday, today. Usually, it was Vanessa who would invest in breaking down my wooden door but it's been etched to my memory that she didn't want anything to do with me. It must be someone else who wanted to torture the life out of me. They didn't need to do that. I forced life to run away from me already.

"Roselia! We're going out! You owe me one day!" Jenna's voice boomed from the other side of the door. If I was still my usual self, I would've barked back at Jenna but I was still feeling-less so I got up to my feet and opened the door. Two pairs of gleeful eyes looked at me.

"Take a shower, get changed. We're going out!" Ari's cheerful tone almost lifted my spirits. Keyword: Almost. I groaned and looked at the clock on my nightstand. It was still 11 a.m. on a holiday! We had two holidays back to back this week. I'm unsure what it was due to but do we even know every holiday? I'm just thankful I don't need to spend 2 out of 5 days at campus this week.

"Do I have to?" I rubbed my eyes and stretched my body.

"Yes!" Both of them said in unison as they barged into the room. Jenna spun around her bright yellow sundress and took a seat at my study chair. I closed the door behind them as another yawn escaped my lips. Ari wore a white crop top and black skinny jeans, flattering her curves.

"I don't really feel like it." I honestly said as I plopped down again on my bed. Ari slapped my butt to wake me up but I continued to be buried under my blankets and closed my eyes, determined to go back to dreamland, disregarding their presence in my room.

"We know what happened." Jenna's voice made my eyes shoot up.

Everything?

"Vanessa and Evan aren't coming today." Ari continued. "You might be comforted to know they're on a date together. Evan's decided to open up to her."

I felt relieved and for a moment, I thought the numbness that coated me was going to melt away. But Jenna had to speak about that brother of hers, "Jace is coming, though."

"You two might have broken it up but that's not going to stop him from hanging out with the boys." Ari said. Wait, did she know it was fake in the first place? Based on her implication that we were broken up, she probably didn't. You couldn't break up a relationship when there was none at the start. We just stopped trying to pretend.

I shuddered as I thought about the last words I told him.

Leave.

"Come on, Sel." Ari sat beside my feet and placed a comforting hand on my hip. "It's not the end of the world. You can have Ash!"

Nope, not a chance.

"Actually, now that you're single, Ash might just be the one to sweep you off your feet." Jenna continued. I emerged from my blankets with a raised eyebrow as I saw both of them sharing mischievous looks. What the hell were they planning on?

"What?" Clearly, I was confused about what that meant. There's no way Ash would go after me, it was breaking the bro-code!

"If you want to find out," Ari jumped up to her feet excitedly. "you better move your lazy ass and get ready!"

"Unless," Jenna's eyebrows wiggled at me. "you want us to get you ready ourselves."

Based on their shameless attitude of barging into someone's bedroom on a holiday, I don't doubt they would try to strip me and bathe me with their bare hands. Better surrender than be blackmailed with my naked photos for life.
