Song of the chapter - Spanish Sahara by Foals

Blair

"How long have you been out there?" Glenn asked me as he sat across from me with Maggie. I fiddled with my thumbs for a moment and they bother kept their eyes locked onto me. "About a month. I was with this girl. Her name was Grace and she saved me a few weeks ago." I answered the Korean man and he nodded.

"She must've been brave. She sounds lovely." Maggie answered me as she smiled, showing no teeth. I've been getting to know Maggie and Glenn for about half an hour now and they are both such nice people. It's been a while since I've come across people like them.

Something replayed in the back of my mind though. Carl Grimes. He thinks I don't like him but that's not the case. The case is, if I do like him. Then everything will come out sooner or later and I don't want that. If any of these people knew that I was Negan's daughter, anything could happen.

"Blair?" I heard Maggie's voice, cutting off all my thoughts about Carl Grimes. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at the couple. "Y-Yeah?" I said and Glenn chuckled slightly. "We said, There's other kids here your age that hang out Ron Anderson's house, across the street. Why don't you go see them?" She spoke and laid a hand on my shoulder.

I thought to myself, What could happen, right? I try to make some new friends or maybe enemies. I mean, anything could happen if I go over to that house. The girls could hate me or the boys could bully me. I decided to take the risk and go over. I needed to know more about Carl Grimes.

With that, I said my goodbyes to Glenn and Maggie, walking out of my house and over to 'Ron's'. Wow that's so weird saying, MY HOUSE. My very own house with Maggie and Glenn. I never thought I'd get to say home, ever again.

I walked up to the door that said, 'The Anderson's' on. I sighed deeply and heard multiple yells, like playful yells. It sounded like happiness and laughter. Something I need in my life right now. I need to learn how to have fun. I raised my hand and knocked on the door. Immediately I heard, "I'll get it!", From the other side of the door.

My hands shook with nervousness and my throat began to form a lump. Don't get nervous, Don't get nervous, it's only people. Only humans, exactly like you. Well, that's debatable. I was not human and I came to terms with that a while ago. None of us were actual human.

Suddenly, the door swung open and there was a woman in a denim jacket. She was pretty and her blonde hair fell just passed her shoulders, nicely. "Hi." She greeted me. She smiled and her gorgeous smile, flashed. Before I could even speak, she started again. "Blair Jones right? The new girl?" She asked me and I felt weight lift off of my shoulders. Thanks god I didn't have to introduce myself and she already knew me.

"News gets around fast here." I stated and she chuckled slightly, staring at her feet for a moment and back up at me. "It's a small town, Blair." She smiled and a silence awkwardness, crept up on us before we knew it. "Well, I'm Jesse, Ron and Sam's mother." She introduced herself and held out her hand in front of me. I gladly accepted her hand and shook it gently.

Letting go of her hand, I decided to speak again. "To be fully honest, I don't know why I'm here. Maggie and Glenn told me to introduce myself to some more of the kids here and they mentioned your house." I poured out. She smiled widely and moved out the way of the door. "Oh, come in. I'll take you to them." She said and I hesitated for a second.
