Poem 82

I had a bad dream, it haunts me still,

It was dark and eerie, it had me feeling ill.

The darkness swallowed me, pulled me deeper,

I couldn't wake up, for I was a heavy sleeper.

In this emotive nightmare, I was stuck,

I tried to awake but there was no luck.

I fell and I feel and I run and I hide,

It was dark, I was scared, and I cried.

"You have to listen, you have to obey"

"You have to say yes and okay"

An alarming voice would say to me,

"Stay here forever and escape reality"

And as it said this, I opened my eyes,

To see a devil in my view as an angel in disguise.
