Getting Closer (Part One)

Good Day-DNCE

Jay and I walked in to the airport. We had a time before we were to get on the plane, so we wandered around for a while. Soon it was time to get our tickets and board the plane. Our seats were aisle three seats A and B which put me by the window. That put beside Jay and I did not like that all. We were stuck on the runway for about an hour due to mechanical error. So I decided to take my book out and read.

Finally the plane took off and I put my book away and stared out the window. Jay started to talk to me about the mission, so I turned to listen.

"So we have to stop in Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, and Nevada before we land in California." He says, "Each time we land we will meet with someone and then stay the night in that city. The day we leave that city we will leave on a different plane."

"What cities will we be staying in?" I ask

"Alton, Illinois, Lincoln, Nebraska, Aspen, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada. We'll stop there on the way back too.", He says looking at me

"Those are some big cities." I say looking into his dark blue eyes

"Yeah. Other than meeting with those people, we won't be doing anything."

"Really? When will we be meeting these people?"

"Right when we get off each plane. Then we will have the day to ourselves." 

"Cool." I say looking back out the window

It took awhile but finally landed in Alton, Illinois. Alton was a big city. Not as big as New York, but still pretty big. We got off the plane and walked into the Alton airport. We walked around until we saw someone holding a sign reading 'Ashlyn Mclaine and  Jay Malachi'. Jay and I walked up to the person holding the sign.

"Are you Ashlyn Mclaine and Jay Malachi?" The person asks

"Yes, Who are you?" Jay asks

"Jack Baker. I am the first person you are supposed meet with."

"Ok. Lead us to where we will talk at." I say 

Jack leads us out of the airport and to a white car. Jay and I get into the backseat of his car. We a wait about fifteen minutes and then we stop at a large house. We get out and walk in the house with Jack. Jack walks to a room that I can only guess is the living room, equipped with a large L shaped couch, a small chair, and a coffee table. Jack sits down in the chair and gestures for us to sit down.

"What information do you have for us, Jack?" I ask

"There are a few people in this city that wish to become assassins. I will let you meet them on your way back through this city." Jack says

"Ok. Are you going to give us there names today?" Jay asks

"Yes, I will." Jack says

"Is there anything else?" I ask 

"Yes, there is a group in north Alton that is searching for your Guild. They will stop at nothing to find and kill you all." Jack says gravely 

"What is this groups name?" Jay asks

"Allegiance is what they call themselves. They are very lethal. The police know about them, but they don't know where there hideout is located." He says smiling,"I do."

"This is where they are." Jack says throwing a map on the table with a location circled.

Jay picks up the map and looks at it. Then he folds it up and puts it in his pocket.
