It's lunchtime at school and I'm chilling on the school lawn with ma girls. This is where we come to relax everyday after eating lunch.
Zo is singing to herself, Cam is eating chocolates, San is on her phone texting someone with an angry look on her face and I'm just watching some junior students playing with a yo-yo.
"San. What's wrong? You look angry", I said turning my attention to her.
"This stupid bitch is getting on my nerves", she shrieked.
"Your dumbass gf?" Cam asked laughing.
"Yes. She saw me hugging Damion yesterday and now she thinks I'm cheating on her with him", San said irritatingly.
"Yuh serious? But Damion a yuh cousin", I said laughing.
"Exactly! Mi a try tell her that but she think a lie me a tell!" San said furiously.
"Hear ya! How dah gyal deh dumb suh?" Zoya said laughing.
"I know right. San you seriously need to kick that girls ass to the curb. Ion know why you still with her", I said.
"Mi agree with Shena. She accuses you of the most ridiculous things. Like when you hang out with us and not her she says you're secretly dating one of us. And she know seh wi straight", Cam said.
"Or whenever you sleepover at my house she say's I'm tryna steal you from her", I said and Zoya laughed.
"I mean, c'mon! Open your eyes San! She's dumb as fuck!" Zoya said and we laughed.
"Unuh right eno. Mi a guh dumb her todeh. Mi tired a the bullshit man", San sighed.
"You're doing the right thing babe", I said squeezing her shoulder.
Just then the bell rang and we went to class. Our last class for the day was Mathematics class.
Mathematics, Social Studies, Information Technology, Geography and History are five subjects that are divided in groups amongst all the senior year students/eleven graders that will be doing them in CXC examinations next year/term. Because not enough teachers are in our school for these subject areas to be done by class. So it has to be done by groups.
Saneke and I are in the same group and Zoya and Camesha are in the same group. San and I went to where our group class will be. When we got there we sat down and waited for our teacher.
An hour later class ended, so I started to pack up my things when I heard someone calling my name. I look up and saw one of my classmates Reesa waving at me. So I left my things and went to her.
"Wassup Reesa!" I greeted her.
"Have you heard that Miss goodie-two-shoes Lisanne tripped and fell in front of her crush Jevaughn and his friends today at lunchtime? They all laughed at her", she said laughing.
"Oh my God! No way! I wish I saw that. She must be so embarrassed", I said laughing.
"I know right. But she got what she deserved. That's what she gets for been a pain-in-ass to everyone", Reesa said.
"You said it girl", I said and walked off without looking when I bumped into someone. The person grab me by the waist before I could fall to the ground.
I steady myself and look up when I saw the school's bad boy staring at me.
"Are you okay?" Carru Mitchell asked looking at me with concerned eyes.
Wait what? Did he just ask me if I'm alright? Last time I checked he didn't care about anyone but himself.
"Y-yes. I'm fine", I answered scarcely. Then I realized that he was holding my hand. I tried to twist my hand out of his grasp but he was holding me so tight.
"Um.. Can I have my hand back please?" I asked still tryna wriggle my hand free but he just kept staring at me.
Oh my God! He must be thinking of ways he's gonna torture me for bumping into him. Oh Lord I'm so dead. The last time I heard that someone bumb into him he poured urine all over the boy. I cringed at the thought of that happening to me.
Finally he let go of my hand, I grab my things and fled out of the classroom as fast as I could. I didn't even realized when I met up with the girls until I felt someone shook my shoulder and I saw three concerned faces looking at me.
"Shena. Where were you? I left Maths class thinking you were right behind me but you weren't", San said.
"And why do you look so scared and absentminded?" Zoya asked.
"You look like you just seen a ghost!" Cam said.
"It might as well be a ghost", I said quietly.
"Weh yuh mean?" Zoya asked more concerned now.
"I accidentally bumbed into Carru Mitchell after talking with Reesa. I wasn't looking where I was going", I said softly.
"You did what?!" Cam shouted.
"Oh good Lord", Zoya sigh.
"It was an accident!" I cried.
"He's not gonna see it that way", San said shaking her head.
"I know. What am I gonna do? He's gonna make my life a living hell", I cried.
"Do you know what he do to girls who 'accidentally' bumb into him? He turn them into his slave. He either ruin your high school life or make you do whatever he says. Either way your dead", Cam said.
"Ughhh... Thanks so much for cheering me up Cam", I said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry boo. Ugh. You gotta go into hiding", Cam said.
"She nah duh nth! If that motherfucker think him can mess with my bestie he got another thing coming. Mi nah mek him trouble yuh Shena", San said and I smiled at her.
"San is right. You know what, Carru Mitchell and his gang has been going around in this school making girls there slaves and making boys fear them just because nobody is brave enough to stand up to them. Well no more. We will stand up to them. If he thinks he's gonna hurt my best friend then my name is not Zoya. Mek him bloodclat try", Zoya said angrily.
"Unuh right! Wi deh yah fi yuh bbz", Cam said and I smiled at them.
I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends in my life. What would I do without these girls.
"Thanks girls. I'm so lucky to have y'all", I said and we hugged.
"Don't worry boo, we got you", San said and I smiled.
