Ch. 23 - Accepted

This Saturday morning I did my chores, my assignments and SBA's, watched tv, text my friends and ate a fruit salad.

Now it's late afternoon and I feel like taking a walk so I got my phone and earphone from my room and went to look for my bro. I found him outside under the mahogany tree with his laptop.

"What are you doing bro?" I asked.

"Researching", he said looking at me.

"Oh okay. I'ma go take a walk. You coming".

"Mhm. I'll be right behind ya".

"Cool", I said walking off.

I turn on music and started listening to 'Trending Gyal' by Shenseea. It feels really good to listen to music while walking. It's just fun to me.

Of course, my good vibes was interrupted when I met up with the three assholes in my community. Shawn, Richie and Tony.

"Wah gwaan Shena. Sexy as usual", Shawn said smiling and licking his lips at me.

"Bye Shawn", I said walking off. Just then someone grab my hand and pull me back and I crashed into someone's chest.

"Where do you think you're going?" Richie said laughing.

"Relax girl", Tony said grinning.

"Let me go Shawn", I shrieked ignoring the others and trying to wiggle free from Shawn.

"I don't think so", Shawn said holding me tighter. Ugh.

"How about you give the man a kiss first?" Richie said and Tony laughed.

"Yes, how about that?" Shawn whispered in my ear and I cringed.

"How about you let my sister go and I don't knock you the fuck out?" I heard Adrian's voice said and I smiled.

"Adrian", I said and that's when I saw him. He was really angry. The last time I saw him that angry was in summer when he beat up a man who stole his money.

"How about no?" Shawn said gruffly. Uh wrong answer.

In a split second Adrian grabbed Shawn and knocked him out then did the same to Richie and Tony.

"If you motherfuckers ever dare to look at my sister again you'll be dead men walking! You get that assholes?!" Adrian shouted angrily.

They quickly got up and ran off. Cowards. I hugged Adrian and he hugged me back.

"I'm so happy to see you bro", I said tears rolling down my cheeks.

Adrian has always been there for me. He's like my protector or guardian angel. Ever since our real Dad died Adrian made it his personal mission to protect me from harm and danger. When my exes cheated on me if I didn't stop him he would've beaten up all of them. Maybe he has and I don't even know. Adrian is my strength. I'm so blessed to have a brother like him.

"It's okay sis. Stop crying", he said drying my tears.

"I told you didn't I? That I'ma always be here to protect you. I love you sis and I won't let nobody hurt you", he said and I smile.

"I love you too bro".

"You better", he said and I laugh.

"That's what I love to see. You laughing", he said.

"Oh stop. Let's go home", I said and we went home.

The rest of the weekend was great. With Adrian's help, I manage to put what happened Saturday behind me.
