I awoke the next morning in an unfamiliar setting. The sun streamed across the room and into my eyes. A heavy weight was restricting my ability to move so I tried to push it off me. A grumpy groan vibrated against my back. The source of the sound rolled over and I could finally lift myself up and discover who was my companion.

The blond head of hair brought a rush of memories back to me of the previous night. A smile infected my face and I flopped back down. He forgave me. He actually forgave me. I haven't been ostracised from society and I still have the best boyfriend in the world. I glanced over at his wrist to see that it was only six in the morning. Pulling on my jumper and shoes I sneaked out of the dorm and closed the door silently behind me. I didn't want to wake him up as we had only had a few hours sleep.

The corridor was still quiet, yet in a few hours it would be bustling with activity. I turned the corner and collided with another figure. I stumbled slightly but regained my footing. My opposition was not quite as fortunate. Through a mop of dark hair a pair of green bespectacled eyes gazed up at me. "Shoot I am so sorry, Harry." I offered him my hand and lifted him to his feet.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." he assessed my bed hair and crumpled clothes suspiciously, "What are you up to at this hour?"

"I could ask you the same thing?"

"Well, I was preparing for the final task." another worry to add my ever-growing list.

"Any luck?" I asked hopefully.

"Not really. How do you prepare to enter a maze that could contain literally anything in the world?" I shrugged.

"You can't? Maybe you should just rest and make sure that you have brushed up on your defensive spells."

He brightened a little at my suggestion. "You know, I think I'm gonna do just that. Thanks Renn." I smiled at him, hoping he didn't see the guilt behind it. We started to walk together in the direction of the Gryffindor tower. "So where were you going so early in the morning?"

I smiled a little to myself, "I was with Cedric."

"Oh I see." Harry looked down, avoiding eye contact.

I burst out laughing, maybe a little louder than necessary. "No no no. Not like that." I'm sure that by this point I was as red as a tomato. "We were just talking."

"So you're not fighting anymore then?" I could have sworn that he sounded a little bitter when he said this.

"Nope, we're good."

"That's good." he didn't sound very convincing.

We finally reached the common room and Harry muttered the password quietly.

"Speak up boy, I'm not fresh paint anymore." the Fat Lady shrieked in shrill tone.

"Banana fritters." Harry said a bit louder and she finally let us through.

The common room was rather desolate as a result of the early hour. I tug my sleeves down over my hands and turn to Harry. "I'll see you at breakfast then."

He looks as if about to say something, but hesitates and instead nods silently. I walk to the stairs quickly and take them two at a time. The door to our dormitory creaks open and I slip in. I tread very lightly in order to avoid any encounters with my roommates. It isn't quite time to get up for school yet, and I am still exhausted from my sickness. Therefore I decided to slip off my shoes and climb under the soft covers of my bed.

My untied laces slap against the floor as I run through the corridors. I slept right through breakfast and my first lesson was in minus two minutes. Luckily I have Snape who won't mind at all. Funny joke.
