Joe's POV
I can't believe it! Rachel and I were going to kiss! Our lips were just about to touch when her phone made a noise. She stood up, looking embarrassed, which I felt guilty about. I wish the kiss happened. Maybe then she'd know how I felt about her. She read her phone and gasped. I saw tears and fear in her eyes!
"What's wrong?!" I asked, worried.
"H-h texted me!" she said, scared. I knew who she meant; only one person could cause her all this fear!
"Read it to me!" I said.
She took a deep breath. "Had to get a new phone so I wouldn't be traced. You thought you'd get away with everything you stupid b-bitch. I'm c-closer than you think. I'm c-coming for you! See you soon, b-bitch!- H!" she stuttered in fear, tears rolling down her cheeks. I walked over to her and pulled her into a hug.
"I'm not going to let him hurt you!" I said softly to her, whilst she lightly sobbed into my chest.
"I'm scared J-Joe!" she sobbed.
"I know, but i'll protect you!" I said. "You stay here! I'll be back in a minute!" I walked through to the living room.
"You's were ages!" Alfie laughed. "And you's still have no blankets!"
"Where's Rachel?!" Erin asked, confused.
"Rachel's had a text from her ex!" I explained. "She's pretty shaken up!"
"We'll go!" Zoe said, standing up.
"You sure?!" Erin asked.
"Of course! She's shaken up!" Zoe said, giving a weak smile. "Keep me posted!"
"Will do!" I said.
Only myself, Rachel and Erin were in the flat. Erin was hugging and comforting Rachel whilst I was trying to think. And a thought came to me.
"Rachel!" I said.
"Y-yeah!" she stuttered anxiously.
"How about I stay here for a bit!" I suggested.
"Joe, I can't let you do that!" Rachel said. "You need to live your life!"
"I can't knowing you're not protected!" I explained.
"Rachel, I think it's a good idea!" Erin stated. "It'll give you more security!" Erin and I looked at Rachel.
"Fine!" Rachel said. "I guess you're moving in!"
