Chapter Six - Pride and Prejudice
Elena's POV
I awake in a bed that is not mine. Albeit, no bed in this place could possibly belong to me as my bed was far less luxurious, but the bed I woke in was not the usual one I went to sleep in whilst I was here.
It was not even a bed
Instead I found myself seeking the comfort of sleep on a plush sofa in the corner of the library I had ran into yesterday.
I furrow my eyebrows for the thousandth time today; that is if it was still today and not tomorrow. It was difficult to tell as it was dark outside, the lavish curtains drawn with the bright white moon illuminating areas of the room. It was a very pretty sight; the moon having cast eerie shadows on the lines of bookshelves to the right of me.
I look further around the room, my stiff neck protesting when I turn due to the way it has stiffened whilst I lightly slept.
I knew why I was in this room. I do remember the events of before I went to sleep. I also remember meeting Cassian, who was currently not present in the room.
