understand (a difficult problem or an enigmatic person) after much thought.

Eyes as sharp as razors.
Unspoken words,
emotion.
As heated as stinging whiskey,
as calm as the sitting trees.
His razors are cutting the tree,
he takes it's heart,
observing it's patterns.
The tree takes a glimpse,
she sees the burning insanity once again.
Disguised by the calmness,
a touch of fire,
a sting of her emotions,
he burns me.
