Five days of sleeping on their old bed was bliss, it made Y/n think of how lumpy and full of springs their bed back in Beach City felt, but what Y/n would give to feel their old springy bed instead of the thin pile of hay covered by a scratchy blanket they were currently laying on was immeasurable. Though, they dared not complain to Lapis Lazuli and Peridot, who seemed very content with finally having their favorite whole human back after five days of absence. The time leading up to the uncomfortable slumber was anything but; In fact, It was the most fun they had in a while. From their sleep, a sudden nasally voice calling from far away awoke Y/n, but they dared not move in fear of the knots and pains in their back

"What do you mean you need Y/n?!" The nasal voice screeched

"I need Y/n for a mission, Peridot," A calm voice responded

"What kind of mission?" Another voice asked

"Search and destroy," The calm voice responded

"Search and destroy what?" Peridot asked

"A beacon. Something set it off recently and I need Y/n to help me find it and destroy it before the signal reaches wherever it's going. This is a time-sensitive matter. Please get Y/n," The calm voice told

"I'll go wake 'em," The other voice told as it slowly walked over to where Y/n was sleeping. A soft hand reached out and lightly grabbed onto Y/n's arm and shook them a bit, "Y/n, Garnet is here. She says she needs you,"

"Hmm?" Y/n fluttered open their eyes to meet with Lapis Lazuli who smiled gently down at Y/n, "Morning, Lapis,"

"Morning," Lapis Lazuli giggled a bit, "Garnet is here for you,"

"Is she now?" Y/n groaned as they sat up and stretched

"Something about Search and Destroy," Lapis Lazuli told as she stuck her hand out to Y/n

"Thanks," Y/n laughed a bit as they grabbed her hand and pulled themself up, "Search and Destroy, huh?"

"That's what she said," Lapis Lazuli said

"Alright," Y/n said as they shook out their hands and feet and walked to the front of the barn, "Morning,"

"Good morning," Garnet said, "I need you for a mission,"

"Mind if we stop at my place so I can grab some clothes?" Y/n asked, "Pajamas aren't exactly the best mission clothes,"

"Right," Garnet nodded

"Wait! You're leaving now?" Peridot frowned

"Duty calls," Y/n told, "I'll be back once we finish this, alright?"

"Hmm, you give me your word?" Peridot asked

"You have my word," Y/n smiled, "I'll see you two soon,"

"Bye, Y/n!" Peridot waved

"Bye," Lapis Lazuli smiled as she watched Garnet and Y/n walked over the hill and towards the warp pad

"How are you?" Garnet asked

"Fine," Y/n told as they put their hand on their back and leaned backward, "I slept on the floor, so my back kind of hurts,"

"Let me help," Garnet said as she stopped in her tracks

"Help?" Y/n frowned as they stopped as well. Garnet nodded as she walked behind Y/n and squatted down a bit, she wrapped her arms around Y/n and lifted them into the air, "Garnet, wa-IT! OooOh"
