Don't Leave Me

You were in bed as thoughts ran through your mind.

You wanted to clear your thoughts and go somewhere.

Maybe the cafe across the street.

Or the one across town.

It sounded nice to just be alone for a couple of minutes.

And try to figure out this damn equation you've been working on all day.

You weren't gonna wake Tony.

He rarely got enough sleep anyway.

You opened the window and packed stuff into a backpack.

Some money, a sweater, a book, phone, charger, and other necessities you needed.

Once you zipped up your bag you were climbing through the window.

Half way out the window you hear the door creak.

'Please don't be Tony. Please don't be Tony' you mentally said.

You turned to see Tony.

"Shit." You said.

Tony looked at you. 

"Where are you going?" He asked.

You raised a brow.

Was he angry?

Mad?

No he looked. Disappointed.

No. Heartbroken.

But why?

"Tony it's not what it looks like." You said.

Tony crossed his arms.

"Oh really. Cause it looks like my girlfriend's sneaking out and leaving." He said, his foot tapped against the ground.

"Half of that is true." You said.

Tony put his hands in his pockets and nervously looked back up at you.

"Was it something I did?" He asked. 

You gave him a confused look.

"What?"

"Was it Because I was in the lab too long? I knew I should have gone to bed earlier." He mumbled.

You steady your feet onto the ground and gave him a questioning look.

"It's because I'm Iron Man isn't it. It always is. How could I be so stupid. I'm such a dick." Tony said.

Now you understood.

He thought you were leaving him.

"Tony I-,"

"I knew it. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I'm such a- *looks up at you as tears welled up in his eyes* Don't leave me." He said.

"Tony I'm not leaving you."  You said.

His eyes widen and he hugged you.

"Thank god." He said and kissed you on the cheek.

"I was just going to clear my thoughts. At the cafe." You  said.

"Across the street?" He asked.

You shrugged.

Tony looked down at the floor.

"Sorry I over reacted. I jut didn't want to loose you." He said.

His eyes watered, as he looked down.

"It's ok Tony. I love you." You said.

Tony nodded and smiled.

"So where's this cafe?"
