A/N: Lawdamercy! It's been a good minute since I updated I missed ya'll. Sorry for the long wait but it seems I never have time nowadays. Between senior year, prom, graduation, and work I barely have time to sleep. I will try to finish this book by the end of the week so watch out for updates

Ma has never been so disappointed in me. I can see it every time I look at her or step near her. She would either glare at me threatening me silently or not look at me at all. Just knowing that she's not looking at me the same hurts a lot more than I care to admit.

Before she left out this morning she ran her mouth telling me that if I stepped one foot out the door she'd put a foot in my ass. At first I called her bluff cause there was no way she could keep me inside. That was until I went outside and saw my neighbor, Maggie Simmons, staring at me.

She actually put down her crocheting needles, pulled her thin glasses slightly downwards and looked over at me. She gave me her familiar stare like, 'You better take yo black ass back inside'. Everybody in the neighborhood know that Ms. Maggie don't play.

She's one of those old church mothers that could whisper in your ear and set you straight. She don't even need to tell your mama. Sucking my teeth I close the door and toss my bag on the floor. So much for going out today.

I head up to my room and take a look around for my laptop. When I realize that ma has it frustration washes over me. Sucking me teeth I start mumbling some shit under my breath. This ain't even fair!

Taking a deep breath I decide to do some homework. I've been falling behind and I guess now is a good time to get it together. I take a seat on my bed and grab my bookbag. I pull out my physics test and huff at the 63 circled in red. Grabbing a pen and loose lead I get started on my test corrections.

Hours have passes and I'm really ready to stab myself in the eye with this pen. My phone has been blowing up from people trying to get the tea about what happened on Friday, even Jade and Queen have called.

Of course, I've ignored them all. I don't want to talk about it right now. In fact, I don't even want to think about it. I just want to block out any emotions tied to that situation because I just can't deal with it right now.

I continue on writing down some things when I hear the doorbell ring. Putting my pen down I slowly rise from my bed and step outside my door. It's only noon, nobody should be knocking on my door. I head downstairs and look through the lil peeky hole thing. When I see who it is I quickly unlock the door throwing it open.

"What are you guys doing here?"

Queen looks from me to Jade and clears her throat, "We need to talk Kendra"

It's incredibly quiet in my room as we sit around not bothering to look at each other. My eyes are focused on my pillow on my lap while they look around. It's been a minute since I've had a talk with them.

The last talk we had was centered around what we were going to do about Rowan and Queen. Clearing my throat I ask them what's up, aren't they supposed to be in school right now?

"I signed myself out"

"I just left"

I nod my head simply and wait for them to start talking. I know what they're hear about. They want the tea on what's been going on with Annabelle and I.

Queen chews on her bottom lip for a while as we continue to sit in silence. Pretty soon Jade scoffs getting annoyed and directs her attention at me, "This is fucking ridiculous"
