Pictures with Memories

Tony looked at the photos of him and y/n a tear going down his face. Her smile, that smile that he would die to see just one more time. Him gazing at her trying to memorise each part of her, smiling to himself and always ending with him getting someone to paint you, adding even more to his collection.

The tears never stopped flowing as he wished to forget, all the nights when they both would lay snuggled up by the fire explaining their problems to one another, always ending up with Tony reminding her how beautiful she was.

Tony remembered the feeling of her putting her hands on his shoulders and the kiss she would place on his temple every time he felt down. The perfume she wore, and how strong it smelt each time he would nuzzle his head into her neck when he was crying, and the way she smoothed his back in a comforting manner.

Tony remembered the way she used to put her face in her hands when she used to get annoyed at him. The way she would push him and scream when he accused her of cheating, the tears that ran down both of their faces when they screamed at each other.

He remembers how he cried after he left her, driving around and around the huge city. Leaving her sobbing in the huge tower all by herself. She always did the same thing when they rarely argued, she'd go to bed cry and he'd sneak in early in the morning and apologise to her. And every-time she forgave him, which is what he loved about her the most. As much as he could do wrong she would always forgive her.

He remembered how he would start by kissing her jaw, going up to her mouth and kissing her with as much passion as possible. He would lift her up and she would giggle at him every time, he never found out why but he found it the cutest thing in the world. He was sure it was his face each time he lifted her that made it giggle but she would laugh if you said hello.

He remembered one day in particular, his favourite. Back when they were both normal. He asked her out and of course she said yes immediately. He blind folded her and led her to a boat and rowed you out to see where all the ducks were, taking off the blindfold the look on her face he could never forget, the smile on her face lit up his whole world. He was the happiest man alive.

Tony was still there looking at a photo one he had to smile at, it was her birthday and being the selfless person she was she went out of her way to greet everyone, smiling at each individual. One girl stood out to her though, crying to herself over in the corner. She went over to her and started to try and cheer her up. Once she got her to smile she called Tony over to take a few photos, she kept one and so did the woman and they both became good friends.

He remembered the way he would beg her to join the Avengers along with Nick Fury, she could heal people and it was one of the most beautiful gifts in the world and it belonged to the most beautiful girl in the world.

One day Tony just got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, her saying yes and then getting married not long after. Having Wanda and Natasha as her bridesmaids and Pepper as her maid of honour.

Then he remembered the worst day of his life, the day where she lay lifeless in his arms, the day that he felt more dead than the corpses laying in front of him.

He remembered it clearly, the way she cried out his name when she saw him hurt, the tears cascading down both of their faces as they told each other that they loved each other.

He remembered the look of determination on her face as she began to take his pain. Tony telling her to stop and that she would die.

But more than anything he remembered the way that her skin eyes slowly closed, loosing her grip on reality and the way her face turned lifeless, a tear dripping down her face as he felt better and him whispering her name over and over again, crying and not knowing how to stop.

He remembered when he woke up thinking it was all a bad dream. He remembers the way his heart felt empty when he realised that it wasn't no bad dream, it was reality.

Which leads us to now, Tony at 96 years of age, when he's sitting on her grave telling her  how much he loves her and how much she means to him even now. How he never got married after her and how he just carried on looking after the other Avengers children and how he adopted a child called c/n and how he told story's of them.

And the story he loved to tell.

As he sat at her grave one last memory flew through his head.

The day that she sacrificed her life for his.

The day that you saved him.

And as he took his last breath, the last thing he saw was your face, smiling as you always did.

Then it all went black.

You were both gone.
