Near had never been one to get jealous, hell, there hasn't been an occasion where he felt as though he had to be jealous no matter what. After getting into a relationship with him, he was still the same old Nate, only a little more affectionate when with you when around other people. But behind closed doors is where his unknown touch starved self jumped out, wanting nothing more than your attention and to be caressed. You were both only 19, and have been dating for almost seven months and 23 days if he counted correctly, and despite being adults, his relationship with you had expanded to the stage where kisses and cuddles were the most you would both do. Especially since the white haired male was only just getting in tune with his emotions openly rather than keeping them under lock and key.
He never really had a problem with you going out with Halle for a few undercover missions to talk to and get information from suspects within a case. After all, you did that before you were both dating, so he had no excuse to stop you from continuing to go even afterwards, it was part of the job after all, and in a lot of cases it helped gain a lot of inside information. He was always more concerned for your safety and wellbeing rather than what you were doing. Near was strongly protective over your safety, an inbuilt fear of losing you had haunted him after the amount of personal losses he faced during the Kira case, almost two years ago.
But here he was, alone in the centre of SPK headquarters, leaning back in his seat as he stared at you with narrow eyes. Some foreign bubbling sensation erupting within him as he watched the way each man looked like they were begging for your attention. Focusing on your image which was projected onto the screen in front of him. You were laughing what he hoped was a faux laugh as you stood next to the bar; accompanied by a tall man who had crimson dyed hair and a devilishly handsome face. You leaned against the bar, martini glass in one hand and your other arm holding the edge of the bar behind you, giving the impression that you were in a relaxed state. This form didn't change as you were joined by a few more men shortly, each who seemed to be acquainted with the suspect you were talking to.
Despite him having a particularly important job, which should have his complete focus on being complete to the best of his abilities. Near couldn't stop himself from looking over your attire for the night repeatedly, as though he thought he'd never see you in such a sight at any other day.
You were wearing a short and sparkly, midnight blue dress. Tight fitting which flaunted whatever promiscuous curves your body had, and matching glittery blue heels on your feet. Halle curled your hair into ringlets before brushing them out to create a looser curled effect, before applying a few pieces of makeup as though you were a doll. She definitely had fun whenever it came to dressing you up, a little too much fun sometimes. The older woman would do a spectacular job though and this style in particular had him playing nervously with the deck of cards he held because he was overwhelmed by how beautiful you looked all dressed up.
Near knew how much you hated makeup, which made it even better for him after you looked up to him with a sullen face. Complaining how you felt as though the foundation was clogging up your pores and whining to Halle about how you thought she had overdone it on the makeup. However, all you got was a slight peck to the forehead, and a mumble about how alluring you looked, causing a little pink blush to cross your face as Halle cooed in the background and asked if she could do your makeup at your wedding.
The card tower fell for what seemed to be the twentieth time in the hour, as Near saw the crimsom haired man shift a little closer to you than he would have liked, noticing how his hand played with the rim of the shot glass he held before casually slipping the hand around your waist. Of course, to be professional you couldn't slip your flirty demeanour, but maybe you were too professjonal in the acting department without realising it.
