Chapter 9

Laura P.O.V.

Rocky and I drove to the movie theater. We were there in like 5 minutes. He wouldn't tell me which movie until we got there. He was taking me inside and I noticed the sign. We are going to see the Lego Movie. "The Lego Movie?"

"Hey, it's a good movie," He smiled. "It's a child's movie," I stopped walking. "No it isn't."

"Explain how it is rated like PG," I crossed my arms. "Just because we are teens doesn't mean we can't see a kid movie once in a while." I reluctantly agreed to go to the movie because I wanted to make Rocky happy. It turned out to be pretty good and surprisingly, I actually liked it. It was good, for a kid movie. "To be completely honest, I liked it."

"Would you see it again?" I nodded, "Definitely." Rocky smiled, "Let's go then." So we went to see The Lego Movie for a second time. Don't judge us. "IT WAS EVEN MORE AMAZING THE SECOND TIME!" Rocky and I both screamed at the same time. Little kids looked at us weird and kept walking. "You guys are weirdos." A little boy said. We stuck our tongues out at him and kept walking though.

Rydel P.O.V.

Luke called me for like the 200th time today and I finally picked it up. "What?" I heard a breath of relief in his voice. "Rydel. You answered. I want to explain." I almost hung up the phone. "Well, I don't want to listen. You broke my heart."

"Just let me explain. Give me a couple minutes." I was done listening. "No. I am done with the excuses. I am done with the lies and I am done with you." I hung up the phone. 3 seconds later he calls again. Being the stupid person I am, I answer it. "What?"

"Please just let me explain. Meet me in the park in 10 minutes." I was hesitant. "It's really late."

Eventually, I agreed to meet him. I walked to the park. He was waiting there for me. At least this time he was actually there. "Hey Rydel, so you still done with me?" 

"Yeah. I just figured let you explain," I was a little scared, his hands were in his pocket and he had a smirk on his face. "Rydel, you don't sound as confident as you did on the phone a few minutes ago." I had to admit, yeah, I was scared. There was no one else in the park. I was snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a burning sensation on my cheek. I fell to the ground. He slapped me. I grabbed my cheek, rubbing it. He pulled me up and punched me in the stomach. 

"STOP! LUKE!" Luke punched again. "HELP ME! SOMEONE HELP! LUKE JUST PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE. I WILL FORGET THIS EVER HAPPENED AND NEVER TALK ABOUT IT." Luke punched a third time. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" A voice screamed and I heard footsteps coming closer. Luke slapped me again and I could barely see because the pain was excruciating. 

"I SAID LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE!" It was Riker coming to save me yet again. Riker punched him in the stomach a few times. "MY SISTER IS NOT GOING TO TAKE YOUR CRAP ANYMORE!" Riker punched him again and he fell.

"Thank you for being here." Riker grabbed my hand and pulled me close. "I am your big brother, I will always be here." 

"Riker?"

"Yes, Del." 

"I love you."

"I love you too."
