8: Going solo

In Class...

Adrien walked in slowly and notices that everyone had changed seats, there was only one bench left where he and Nino sat, but Nino wasn't there he was sitting next to Alya.

Mari was sitting alone in the very front right across from him but didn't even flinch when he sat down. Chloe and Sabrina had already sat down.

It went Adrien in the front then Chloe and Sabrina, Kim and Max, Ivan and Mylenne. And on the other side, Mari first then Alya and Nino then Rose and Juleka and finally Nathaniel.

"Class please turn to chapter three in your book." The teacher said, Adrien was so focused on trying to paying attention instead of what happened this morning that he accidentally knocked over his bag and most of the contents spilled out. Adrien could feel the glares from his classmates, especially Marinette .After finally cleaning up the mess he sat back down.'Good thing Plagg is in my jacket or this would be a problem'he thought.'Looks like King Bee is clumsy,'Alya thought.

'I should have helped Adrien, wait what am I saying he broke my heart! He's clumsy, guess we may have more in common than I thought.' Marinette thought, " Miss Cheng are you still with us? " The teacher asked, "Oh yes! Sorry ma'am! " All through class both Adrien and Marinette thought about each other and how they were doing with the current situation. How would they work on the project if they couldn't get along?

During Lunch...

"How is this going to work?"Marinette asked,"I don't know."Nino responded."You know what how 'bout we just do the project and let Adrien fail."Alya said."Nah then we would also get in trouble."Nino said,"I'll figure it out,I got this!"Marinette exclaimed.'I'll pass him a note that says what part of the project he should do and we will do the other without anyone knowing,I know Alya won't be happy with me but I can't just let some fail because of me.'Marinette thought."Girl are you ok?"Alya asked."Yeah I'm good I'm just gonna go to the bathroom ok?"

Marinette waited for Alya to respond."Ok just be careful."Alya said,"Ok promise!"With that Marinette walked away writing something on a sticky note.Looking around she slowly placed the sticky note in Adrien's bag,sticking it to his book.She had seen him walk away to use the restroom so this should be a good opportunity. She even remembered to sign the note so he would know who it was from."Not going to forget this time."She thought,"Ah!He's back!"With that she ran off."I guess I better start the project."

Adrien sighed and pulled out his book.Safely watching from a distance Mari watched as Adrien read the sticky note and smiled."She really cares."Adrien thought.With seeing that her efforts had worked Mari walked back to her group.They might not be able to date but at least this was the beginning of them becoming friends again.
