We were teleported back to the spring. Link held me close and smiled softly. "So, (Y/n), I have something to ask you." I blinked and smiled at Link. "What?" Link cleared his throat and blushed. "Well, you're really awesome and I just wanted to tell you—"
"She's hurt."

Link and I stilled. Link turned around slowly with me in his hands. There stood the king of darkness himself, staring down at Link and I. The water spirit came from the water and snarled at him. The figure blasted a wave of darkness. Link dropped me and fell onto the ground shifting into a wolf. Twilight enveloped the spring and I was left looking up at Zant and fearing for my life. Zant looked down at me. I attempted to scramble away, my leg searing with pain. I looked up at him and grabbed out my sword, holding it up to him. "S-stay back!" I snarled as he stared at me silently. Zant walked towards me and grabbed my shoulder gingerly. I felt a surge of power lift me up and toss me to the wall. It kept my body still as I watched in horror. Midna was revealed in the twilight and Zant lifted her up.

The three fused shadows drifted from her grasp as he chuckled. "Did you honestly mean to take an ancient and withered power like this and turn it against me? You are a foolish traitor, Midna. Why do you defy your king?" That voice... I know it somehow... I blinked and growled, struggling harder. "Get away from her." Zant turned to me, my mouth clamped closed with a power. "That," He said slowly. "Is not how you speak to a king." Midna growled angrily. "MY KING?! You, Who do nothing but abuse the magic of your tribe? You must be joking!"

Zant began to laugh hysterically. ""How dare you?! Are you implying that my power is... our old magic? Now THAT is a joke!" He threw Midna beside me harshly. I broke from the Magic holding me down. "This power is granted to be my God! It is the magic of the king of twilight and you will respect it." Zant turned and I stood, sword out and ready to kill. I used my sword as a cane as I leaped to attack Zant. He turned and slammed me against a wall. I cried out in pain and Zant stilled. Link rushed over to me and smelled me, making sure I didn't have any more wounds. I groaned softly, my leg and back hurting. Link growled and turned to Zant. He launched himself at him and was thrown down beside me. I watched as a piece of twilight sunk into his head.

Zant grabbed Midna again and levitated her over to him. He faced her to see Link and I. Link was beside me knocked out and my leg was bleeding more heavily. I whimpered and laid down onto Link. My sight was dizzying, I was losing too much blood. "My Midna did you forget? That beast and that girl are one of the light dwellers who oppressed our people. No matter how much you may desire otherwise you will never be more than a shadow in their world. You cannot consort with their kind! But if we can make their world ours mida light in darkness will meet at last. Our tribe will take back their realm and sweet darkness will blot out this harsh light. And that Midna is why," Zant's helmet retracted. "I need you." I blinked and looked at Zant. "No, don't do it Midna!" I cried softly, holding onto Link. "I want to see my best friend again, one more time. My family too... I want to know me!" Midna looked at the two of us with wide eyes. "Not just for me, but all of our people. Lend me your power."

Midna growled and turned to Zant. "You want to murder an entire world of innocents." She whispered and looked at me. "That means you start with her." Zant stilled as Midna broke away. "Never, I'll never let you hurt them." Zant growled and grabbed ahold of Midna once again. "So be it I will return you to the light world you covet!" Zant turned to face the spring as the twilight was lifted. Lanayru broke out from the water and blasted Midna with light. Midna screamed out and went limp. Midna vanished and as did Link beside me.

I watched in horror as I was left with Zant. He walked towards me and sighed. "Sleep." He whispered, snapping in front of my face. I was overcome with exhaustion and slumped.

Zant stared at (Y/n) as gold began to wrap her up and take her wherever Link and Midna were. He reached out and touched her leg, the girl jerking away in pain. Zant then began to heal it, the hat soaked with blood. He healed her back too and quickly hugged her as she faded away. Zant kneeled down and felt her body vanish from his arms. Zant sighed and stood once again. He smiled softly and teleported away. (Y/n) was safe. The hero had feelings for her. All in all, (Y/n) was safe. He could never hurt her.
