Theo's POV:
The waiting game didn't take very long. After returning the girl to camp and giving her medical care she was improving at a rapid rate. I knew this meant that she was going to wake up soon and it increased the likeliness of Aubrie being by my side sooner.

The information we had started to gather from the camp was filled with holes right now. Some computers we were able to get data from and the techs working on the chemical analysis of chemical in the lab were getting closer to discovering what was being used on the 'things'. I didn't have any idea of what to do with them so for now, I have them isolated in a safe house with doctors that can hopefully find some cure. Alexa was there with Nicole. I had to send them there because they were driving me crazy with trying to find Aubrie. Every other minute they asked if they could help or if I learned something new and I didn't know which would drive me insane first: them asking me or me not having anything new to go off of.

Autumn, however, wasn't doing that by the time I got back to camp she was already here. I expected that she was coming, but I didn't know that she was also into science like Aubrie. She was now doing what Alexa was doing and turning the antibodies they were giving through iv into pills.  Another team was also now working on vaccinations and seeing if they could advance the solution and give it a better fighting capability even if the bacteria has been mutated again.

I was in my office informing other Alphas of what was going on when I got told the news that the girl had wakened up. I didn't hear much else because I was already out the door and going to the special room I had guarded for her.

When I enter the room it was like a knife to my gut. I had been avoiding Autumn a majority of the time because of the feeling I got when I saw here and I almost forgot how closely this girl looked like her.

She cringed when I enter the room and I noticed that all the staff that had been down here before had now been replaced with an all girl one. She flinched back the closer I got so I stop and stood in the middle of the room.

"Hello, I'm..."

"The Alpha King. I know. I'm sorry for any disturbance I caused sir." She said in a whisper and I could see her hand shake as she moved it to grab a glass of water a nurse handed to her.

"No, you have no reason to be sorry. I'm sorry we didn't know what was going on there sooner so we could have saved you and many more. Do you mind telling me what was going on there we haven't been able to connect all the pieces yet?" I asked as I moved to take a seat next to her bed. I made slow movement not to startle the already jumpy woman.

"I was there because of Elijah. I met him probably six or seven months ago. He ran into me one day thinking I was someone else, but we ended up hitting it off really well. He was so nice and funny so after about two months we started to date. I mean I'm a wolf as well and he's one also, but neither of us had found our mates and we didn't think anything wrong with going out, but my wolf always felt like something was off about him. After about a month of dating, he got a little controlling, but everyone tells me that wolves are meant to be possessive, especially males that haven't found their mate after so many years, so I didn't think anything about him want to know where I was at or having me check in with him all the time."

She then took a pause as emotions started to overwell her and I could see tears in her eyes starting to form.

Grabbing some tissues on the table I take them to her. "Here you go...." I trail off not knowing her name.

"I'm Felicity and thank you." She says as she takes them hesitantly from my hands. A moment later she continues.

"Then it started to get worse after a night I went out with a couple of my friends. They all want to check out this new club in town and I knew that I wouldn't do anything there or try to flirt with guys. I just want to go have fun with them so I did and he found out. I got home and found out he had called one of our mutual friends that we made and he knew I was there because he was going to go, but got called into work. We were going to invite Elijah but I knew he was working late anyway and that he wouldn't have wanted us to go so I didn't tell him. When I got home I was about to tell him, but then he hit me and called me a slut. He kept on hitting me and telling me how..." Her voices cracks and I hand her more tissue.
