You know I'm like a ghost
Sometimes I have to fade
And it haunts me that I have to be this way
You say it's gone cold
I say I'll do better
But I always seem to disappear again
Chapter Twelve - The Mundane
Elena's POVI was seated quite comfortably on a round bar stool at the main kitchen island, marble under my elbows as my hands held up my chin. My eyes were closed, letting the natural warmth of the rising sun seen through the window filter through my eyelids, and warm my face in general. The warmth of the rays made me smile.
I had never really experienced such a peaceful morning. The sun rays were a delicate thing and should not be taken for granted from this moment on.
I have decided that I shall awake every morning just before sunrise to watch the sun awake from its slumber and greet everyone in pretty colours. I, of course, knew that the sun and the moon occurrence was due to the natural orbit of the Earth, the planet, and the doings of this Universe - the realm - which we were in. From a young age we were taught about the realms of our existence, and we knew that they existed. Hence, we prayed to the Goddess which created us. She chose to put us in this designated Universe, a Universe that was subject to its Realm. There were said to be thousands of Realms across the existence, but as a species we would never venture to the other realms or outside our universe, and nor would the other species without our universe.
