"You have to be on set by five," you informed Taeyong as you walked alongside him. "Are you listening?"

"Yes, I heard you the first time you said it. And this is the fifth time you're telling me."

"You tend to forget," you argued.

"Just relax," he slung an arm around you, which you quickly shrugged off before anyone could see. "I'm not that irresponsible."

"Clearly," you rolled your eyes. Taeyong was a star celebrity and you were his manager. You and he have been dating for quite a while now, but nobody needs to know that little secret.

He was starring in an upcoming romance movie and you took it upon yourself to get him on set on time for the filming since last time Taeyong was a 'little' late and the director wasn't pleased.

"I'll pick you up at four, okay?"

"Yeah," he answered.

You managed to take him to the set before the clock struck five. You sighed in relief, now you wouldn't have to see the displeasure on the director's face like the last time.

While the stylists were getting the actors ready, you sat down in a quiet place, more like the least noisy place, and went over Taeyong's schedule.

Soon, the cameras had started rolling. Taeyong's acting was as commendable as always. Even though he had starred in many romance movies, he seemed to be doing exceptionally well in this one. Maybe it was the experience that made him better, or maybe the competition? It's neither, a part of you thought when you paid more attention to his acting. In this scene, he had to confess his love for the female protagonist.

You saw how he held her arms with care, how he looked deeply into her eyes and said his lines. They barely seemed to be lines at all, the scene was too natural. His eyes showed nothing but love for the actress.

Does he look at me like that? You couldn't help but wonder.

You observed the actress and saw what a beauty she truly was. Beautiful glossy hair, pretty eyes, and an even prettier smile. You didn't want to think about how you looked compared to her.

Does Taeyong not like me anymore? You pondered more about your relationship while the next scene was being shot. You realized how you've screwed everything up. Your relationship had been purely business for the last couple of months. Every time Taeyong wanted to go out with you, you reminded him of all the work you both had. Eventually, he had given up.

A sickening feeling tugged at your heart at the thought of him leaving you. And you couldn't even blame him if he did, it was your fault for pushing him away.

The actors were given a short break to freshen up. You saw Taeyong walking towards you.

"Hey, do you want to get something to eat after filming?" You asked hopefully. "There is a restaurant nearby."

"Um, I already kinda agreed with Miss Kim to accompany her to dinner tonight." He said sheepishly.

"Oh, it's okay," you said trying to sound casual when it clearly wasn't okay.

"We can go some other time," Taeyong quickly said. "How about we-"

"Taeyong," Miss Kim, the actress, called out cheerfully as she reached you. "Oh, I didn't realise you were busy," she said when she looked at you. "We'll talk when you're free," she started to leave.

"No, it's okay," Taeyong got up. "I'm not busy," the two of them walked away leaving you with an ache in your chest.

You felt pathetic, wanted to hit yourself for pushing him away. Wanted to hit miss Kim for stealing him from you, you knew you sounded unreasonable but couldn't help being mad.

I'm going to talk to him, you resolved. You went home without Taeyong as he was out with miss Kim. You wanted to fix this messy situation as soon as possible, so you decided to do it first thing in the morning.

You reached his house and rung the doorbell. After a moment the door was opened, revealing Taeyong still in his pajamas. He immediately smiled at the sight of you. You couldn't help but smile because of how beautiful he looked, even with his tousled hair and sleepy eyes. Has he always been this handsome?

"Aren't you bit early?" He asked.

"I just wanted to see you," you admitted.

"Well come on in," he opened the door wider for you. The familiar sight of his home eased your nerves. "I'll be right back," Taeyong left you in the living room.

He came back dressed a moment later. "Well, what's up?" He asked as he took a seat beside you on the couch.

You took a deep breath before starting. "So, I've been thinking about our relationship. Well, the thing is...," you suddenly forgot all the lines you had practised before coming here. You didn't know what to say.

You felt him taking your hand in his. "What about our relationship?" He asked. "Are you not happy with it?"

You sighed. "No, I'm not happy." His forehead creased. "Don't take this the wrong way," you quickly said after you realized how you sounded. "Taeyong, I've realized that I'm not putting much effort into this relationship. I know how I've been behaving and it's not doing anything to strengthen our bond."

When he didn't speak, you looked at him. He had an impassive face, giving nothing away. "Say something," you pleaded, but he remained quiet. "Do you like miss Kim?" You blurted out.

"Miss Kim, huh?" He finally spoke. "So that's what this is about?" He took his hand back.

"No, it's not. It's about you and I. I know you don't like me as much as you used to, and I've only got myself to blame for that. But I promise I'll do better, I won't push you away anymore. And if you still think this relationship won't work out you can-" your speech was interrupted by his finger being placed on your lips.

"I'm glad to hear that," he admitted. "And I completely understand, (Y/N). I know you only want the best for me. But you also have to understand that the best for me is you."

You scrunched your nose at his cheesiness. "Is that dialogue from a movie of yours?" He just grinned and shook his head.

You both spent the afternoon together just talking about random things and laughing.

"What made you think I liked miss Kim?" He asked suddenly.

"I never said-" he cocked an eyebrow at you. "It's because your acting was too natural, you know what I mean?" This made him chuckle.

"I don't know if I should take it as a compliment or get offended, considering you were surprised to see my acting skills."

"I didn't mean it like that."

"It was because of you," he said quietly. "I pictured you when um, you know, when I was confessing," his cheeks became slightly tinted. While you, on the other hand, were blushing deeply.
