A/N- This imagine is based on the song "Superheroes" by The Script. I love the song and thought it would fit Petyr Baelish pretty well. I hope you enjoy it.

The first time you met Petyr Baelish he was on a bed in an infirmary with bandages covering his entire torso. You had felt the need to care for him instantly, he had just looked so small and broken in that bed, and you had always been the mothering type. When he finally woke you ventured closer to his bed, sitting beside him and talking to him about anything you could think of.

"The weather has been beautiful lately, so much sun, it's unbelievable really." He would look at you in confusion and simply nod his head at your words. "I've heard that there has been a truly nasty rumour spreading about the Lannister children; it doesn't bare thinking about." Nod. "One of the chambermaids taught me how to darn a sock properly the other day, the nurses don't seem keen to allow me to try my new skill on any of the patients though." Blink. Nod. After a while you had begun to believe that he had no voice, that he would never be able to answer your thoughts with his own. It was then that you began to reconsider sitting with him each day. "Petyr, I'm going to ask you a question and I wan't you to answer me honestly, I promise I won't take offence to your answer, whatever it may be." He nodded. "Do you enjoy my company, I quite feel that I may be boring you?"

Petyr cleared his throat as he shook his head. "You have been wonderful company, Y/N," he answered quietly, causing a smile to blossom on your lips.

"I was beginning to think that you had no voice at all," you told him and he smiled softly at you.

"I enjoy listening to you speak, I never feel the need to answer."

"I see," you responded quickly, "well, in future I would much prefer it if I could speak with you, rather than at you." He nodded, giving you a small smirk when you raised your eyebrows at him, causing laughter to bubble past your lips.

When it came time for Petyr to leave the infirmary you had taken in upon yourself to help him get back on his feet, bustling around and busying yourself with getting his chambers ready for him, making sure his clothes were correctly pressed, and keeping him in as high spirits as he could possibly be in such a situation. It was no secret that he was lucky to still have his life, but he seemed unaffected by the thought.

"Where are you going?" you asked when he pushed himself up to his feet, causing him to glance down at you.

"Water," he answered softly, beginning to move across the room as you hurried past him, standing in his way.

"You are supposed to be resting, you'll burst a stitch if you aren't careful," you scolded him, turning him around and pushing him back towards his seat. You grabbed the jug and brought it over to the table you were sitting around.

"I'm not a child, Y/N, I can pour my own drink," he grumbled, taking the jug from your hand, and you smiled at his grumpy expression.

"You're going to have to get used to having things done for you," you told him, "because I am not going anywhere until you are as healthy as a horse."

He smiled at your words, glancing up at you as he poured the water into his cup. "Thank you for being here," he muttered, and you simply nodded your understanding. Petyr would have been driven insane if you hadn't been there to distract him, but you were happy to do it.

"Will you marry me?" Petyr's words had knocked you back, causing your mouth to hang open as he continued to watch you. It had been almost a year since his incident with the Stark boy, and despite his almost perfect health it had been impossible to part ways with one another.

"Petyr," you mumbled and his smile fell from his face.

"Did I read the situation wrong?" he asked you softly and you felt a pang in your heart at the pain in his voice.

"No, I," you started, only for him to cut you off again.

"There is no need to try and sugar coat it, Y/N, I am not some child that needs their heart protecting," he told you and you shook your head and you reached forward, pulling him to you by his tunic and pressing a kiss to his lips.

"Of course I'll marry you, you great lummox," you laughed as you separated. You smiled when you saw the confusion on his face, "you ought to let a woman finish speaking before jumping to conclusions," you chuckled, pressing another kiss to his lips as his arms wrapped around your middle.

"Gods, you are so perfect," he mumbled against your neck, smiling up at you when you laughed at him.

"And you are far too easy to please," you teased, running your hand over his shoulders as he stood back up to his full height.

"I think you will find that I am exceptionally hard to please, and you are just the most amazing woman alive," he told you, laughing when you raised an eyebrow at him.

"I've been thinking about something," you announced to Petyr, turning over in your bed to face him, and smiling when he pressed a light kiss to your lips.

"And what, do tell, could be keeping your thoughts so entertained?" he asked, pulling you closer to him and letting you nuzzle your face into his chest, running your fingers over the scar on his abdomen.

"You are more well versed in economics than anyone else I know, you ought to put all of that knowledge to good use." He chuckled when you leant back to look up into his face.

"And where do you think I should put my brains to work?" he murmured , his fingers running over your cheeks as you continued to look at him.

"Here, at first," you started, giving a small shrug, "news of your intelligence is sure to spread quickly between the Lord's and Ladies in court, and soon enough we will be dining with the King and his new queen."

"The thought is a sweet one, Y/N, but it is not realistic," he told you softly, causing your brow to furrow as you stared at him.

"Why not? You are better than everyone else, you ought to be rewarded for it," you hummed, shifting to sit up and watch him.

"I am not from a wealthy house, Y/N, I don't have the same benefits that you do," he answered quickly.

"Seven hells Petyr, you married me, of course you're part of a wealthy house, you are part of my family, and my father is sure to help you if we ask it of him." You gave him a sad smile, and shrugged. "Just consider it, you have so much potential and I can't help but feel like it's being wasted sitting and trying to explain the debts of the Iron Bank of Braavos to me."

You husband nodded, "If it will please you then I will speak to your father, but I make no promises."

He reached his arm out to you, causing you to smile down at him as you flopped back into him, kissing him quickly before wrapping your arms around his neck and nuzzling your face into him, pressing soft kisses over his chest. "Thank you," you spoke, the words mumbled by his skin.
