"Don't fall asleep, (Name)... Just stay awake..."

I grumbled to myself under my breath as I leaned my head against the window of the bus, desperately fighting against my drooping eyelids to stay awake. Another night had passed, and thanks to my newfound awareness of my sleepwalking it had been a pretty rough one. In a very meta twist, throughout the night I kept dreaming that I was sleepwalking, and would wake up while trying to stop myself. So yeah, not one of my better nights, and by morning I wasn't exactly "rested".

Drowsy or not, though, I still had a bus to catch. Checking the Reddit thread at the library was a big priority for me, so I dragged myself to the bus stop to hop on the first one. Let's see if this was worth it, I thought to myself as the bus finally reached the library. Watching the bus drive off, I went to the door and walked inside only to freeze.

Blood. Blood covered everything. The walls, the floors, the shelves, the tables... Everywhere I looked, all I saw was red. At first it was so surreal I couldn't even process it. I mean, I've seen bodies before, but blood on this scale? It was almost cartoonish. Slowly stepping forward, I suddenly felt something squish under my foot and glanced down to see what it was. To my horror, though, I saw a squishy, pink section of intestines. Vomit immediately crept up the back of my throat, and I doubled over to puke out my guts.

"R-run..." I froze upon hearing a voice nearby, so weak and faint I barely heard it. Turning my head, I saw one of the librarians on the floor, his legs missing and his eyes mostly glazed over as he looked at me. "Run... before he... gets..." He trailed off and his body went still, now dead.

"Before who gets me?" I whispered, staring at his corpse in horror. "Before who!?"

"Me." Chills running down my spine, I slowly turned around to face the person only to freeze. Behind me stood a pasty white teenager with wispy black hair, his eyes ringed with black and wide open. Red and brown stains were splattered across his white sweatshirt and black pants, but I barely noticed that. All I could do was stare at his mouth, jagged cuts extending from the corners. I knew who this boy was, I'd read creepypasta before... And this boy was the most famous killer of all.

"Jeff the killer," I whispered, my heart stopping.

"Aww, you know me~ How sweet~ Now, go to sleep!!" With that he raised his knife, ready to stab me. However, I wasn't going to go down easy. As the knife came down I took a deep breath and jumped to the side, tearing off my button-down shirt and throwing it to the side. Wings suddenly sprouted from my back, extending large and wide as I jumped off the ground. Without waiting for a reaction I took to the air, flying over him and straight to the door. I could hear him cursing as he followed me, but I didn't look back. I just focused on getting away.

Then he threw his knife at my wing.

Screaming, I found myself spiraling to the ground, landing in a large heap. Groaning, I looked at my right wing and saw red staining the white feathers, and instantly I knew I wouldn't be able to fly. I didn't have much time to think about it though as suddenly Jeff was next to me, twisting the knife before yanking it out.
