IT IS NOW THE YEAR 1984, and the town of Hawkins, Indiana is slowly recovering from the unexpected attack. Beginning a new year at Hawkins Middle School, Cassie and her friends had tried their best to forget the tragedies that occurred just last year. Everyone tried their best to pretend that everything was fine now that Will Byers had returned.
Cassie Harrington had finally connected with Steve, who had transformed into a protective older brother figure. To her liking, Cassie had realized that her brother wasn't as much of an asshole anymore.
When a new girl with fiery red hair appears in the town alongside her douchebag step-brother, two boys can't help to keep their eyes off of her. Meanwhile, Cassie develops feelings of her own that seem to be unfamiliar. The kids are now growing to be teenagers—causing much angst to flood through the group, nearly breaking them apart.
But, that was the least of their troubles. The demogorgan is on its way back to Hawkins, and, this time, it brought its friends.
