Chapter 45 - Days of Frustration

"Y-you're going to France?"

"Y-yes..." she said with a sad tone on her voice.

The thought of Rei going to France hit me like my room was struck by a truck, I was devastated and totally destroyed.

My mind goes blank, as we were enveloped by a sullen silence.

I spend the next few minutes opening and closing my mouth unable to utter a single word.

Conflicted on what would happen to us.

"Mom was only making a suggestion though the decision relies still on me."

"Oh, but you want to go right?"

(Am I being selfish? I do know if she goes she has a chance to make her dreams come true. But if she decided to leave, we might still continue our relationship LDR in that state, but it'll be difficult for the both of us.)

There are too many thoughts in my head to form a coherent sentence.

I stand rooted in one spot.

"Ah,But..!!!" she blurted out as if finally realizing my state.

"It's not like I have to decide if , I'm going to France or not right away!"

"That's why I want to take some time to think about it." She continued.

"O-okay..." I relied in a sullen tone.

"Um..Dinner's ready now isn't it?" she said changing the subject.

"I'll go and tell everyone!!"

And with that she hurries up the stairs to the second floor.

And in the end I fail to say a single work to explain how I felt.

Several days later...

Rei seems very absent minded a lot of the time.

I caught her staring into nothingness as I walk in the Laundry room.

"Rei? Are you using the washing machine right now?"

"Rei?" he called out with no response

"Reimako?" still no response.

"Reimako Ikagami Kitagami?"

"Huh? Oh!"

(That caught her attention.)

"D-did you want something, Mina?"

"Um...I just wanted to know if you were using the washing machine?" I asked while taping the machine.

"No, please, feel free to use it." She replied smiling awkwardly.

"Ah, okay..." (what is she doing here then?)

"Bye..."

She leaves the laundry room not long after I entered as If wanting to get away from me.

(She mist really be hung up on whether she'll go to France or not...)

On yet another day...

It seems that everyone in the house now knows about Reimako's chance to go overseas.

"Rei! Is it true that you, you're mom and dad are you going to France?!" Asked Yomiko as she rushed towards Reimako.

"Are you going to go too?" said Miyoko following Yomiko.
