I slowly peel my eyes open, my vision blurry and distorted. My ears would not stop ringing and my head felt like it was being smashed repeatedly with a hammer. I groan tiredly as I slide my legs over the edge of the bed and stand to my feet. Staggering forward, rubbing my head. When suddenly my foot collides with something solid, causing me to trip. I tsk , turning my head to look at my left leg, I had walked right into the metal bed frame. I didn't understand. My spatial awareness is usually perfect. Why didn't I notice?
Then I realise, my hand quickly reaches up to my left eye, feeling around. The skin felt dry and cracked. I started to panic a little. Please don't say that I've...
I lift both my hands in front of my face so I could see them both, before slowly parting them. My right hand going towards the right direction, my left hand going towards the left. But I kept my eyes focused straight ahead to use my peripheral vision. My right hand stays visible, but my left hand disappears into darkness. I take a deep breath. It can't be.. I can't be..
I decide to do one final test. I slowly reach to my left eye, using my fingers to pin my eyelids open. Breathing strongly. Making sure it stayed open, closing my right eye. Instantly bursting into tears. Falling to my knees as I sob. You'd expect to still be able to see, even with on eye closed. But as soon as my right eye was shut. I saw nothing. Darkness. Just pure black darkness. I had gone completely blind in my left eye. All because of those bastard doctors.

"[Name]? You okay? [Name]!"
I hear a voice call out to me. Inhaling deeply, I slowly crawl over to the wall before slumping to the floor.
"What did they do to you? You've been unconscious for almost a week!"
A week? It was strange. It felt like the torture only happened yesterday. When that clearly wasn't the case.
"My eye..."
"Your? Your what?"
"My eye.. Sakura... my left eye.. They.. They took away my sight, in my left eye.."
I hear a small gasp through the vent, before a sigh. I guess she didn't know what to say. Though, I couldn't blame her. She's all I got. I couldn't get angry at her for not saying anything.
"Sakura? Why don't.. why don't you have a number?"
"A number?"
"A subject number.. on the doors. Why don't you have one?"
There was a moment of silence. I thought that she wasn't going to answer. That it would be like every other time. But I was wrong. She did answer. I guess the pause was just her trying to figure out what to say.
"I don't.. I don't remember.. I, I don't need one, anymore."
"What does that-"
I was suddenly interrupted by the sound of something scrapping across the floor, but I didn't see the source in my peripheral. Turning my head to the left, to face the door. I see a plastic tray with food on it. Followed by a plastic cup full of water and cutlery, also plastic. Anything that can be thrown away once used.

I slowly make my way over, drinking the water but pushing away the food. Although. The plastic cup was similar to false glass. It gave a faint reflection when angled right, due to its clouded material. Though it was a little distorted due to its pattern and the fact it wasn't a mirror. Shakily, I hold the cup up in front of me. Tears instantly streamed down once I saw my own face looking back at me. Both sides of my head, on my temples had round burn marks where the electricity singed my skin. But that wasn't the worst part. The eye, the left side of my face... My eye was red and bloodshot, no white to be seen at all. My iris was completely grey and cloudy. Lost of all colour. But, my skin... My skin around the eye, to about halfway down my cheek. My skin was scarred and tight. It looked looked like I had 3rd degree burns in the left side of my face.. During the torture, my eye felt like it was in fire.. Maybe it actually was, judging by the damage it caused to my skin, not only my sight. Although, it was already starting to scar. So maybe it wasn't literal flames, just the sensation? I don't know.. But what I do know, is that I was mortified. Yelling out in anger, I slam my hands down against the floor harshly. So much so that the plastic cup shattered and broke under my hand. I couldn't stop crying. I was called a monster for my power. And now, my appearance? I really am a monster..

As I continued to cry, I noticed something red on the floor. More of it by my hand. I sit back and raise my right hand to view. I couldn't help but gasp. A shard of the cup penetrated through my palm. Must at least be half way. But I didn't feel it. No pain at all. I slowly grab it, pulling out quite a large, thick chunk. Blood instantly gushing. But no pain. Was it possible that, the electricity?... I remembered that as I was being electrocuted, I eventually stopped screaming in agony, even though the power on the generator was still on and flooding through me. Is it possible that.. the current.. the flow of electricity through me.. it, damaged my nerve endings?
"I... c-can't, feel... p-pain..?!"
I cry, grabbing hold of the sharp shard of plastic, slicing across my leg. Blood pouring out. Nothing. I slice again and again, on my arms, ankles, collar bone, even on my face. Blood leaking from every cut and gash. Nothing.. I didn't feel, any of it.
"6126. This is an order. Cease all actions of harm, drop the weapon and remain still."
A voice bellowed through intercom around the room. I couldn't help but chuckle at their pathetic attempt to get me to stop.
"6126. We will give you the count to 10. To drop the weapon, and back away."
The weapon? It was funny that they thought a shard of plastic could be seen as.. a, weapon? Yes, yes that's it. I look around to see all the broken plastic bits were sharp enough to break the skin. To which it gave me an idea.
"Don't worry Sakura. I'll get us out of here."

I drop the blood covered shard and slowly stand to my feet, raising my hands as a surrender. Listening to my blood drip to the floor. When suddenly the door to my room opened. 2 doctors and a nurse cautiously enter my room. One doctor restrains me by placing a metal collar and chain around my neck, like some sort of animal. To my memory, the collar also gives a paralysing electric shock.
The other doctor and nurse steadily pick up the glass. I couldn't help but chuckle, causing them to look up at me, freezing their clean up.
"What's funny?"
The doctor restraining me hisses. I couldn't see him, as he was stood to my left. But I slowly turn my head until he came into view. Locking my eyes on him. Smirking and swiftly raising my eyebrows to jump, with a sly look. Giving him a hint. His face drops, instantly glancing down to the shards of plastic. These bastards had to remember that manipulative techniques, were my way around things. I increase my stare, to which he begins to shake, dropping the chain and heading towards the other nurse and doctor. I move my glare to the three of them. Concentrating hard on their fowl souls. The doctors grunt angrily and the nurse begins to sob as they desperately tried to stop their own hands grabbing a sharp price of plastic, lifting it to their necks. You could practically see their strain in attempting to stop themselves. But they were nothing.
I smile evilly as I watch the three of them slice open their own throats. Blood gushing and spitting out. Bleeding to death.
"Fucking fools."
I was about to remove the chain and collar when suddenly the alarm was activated and my room went into emergency lock down as a metal door began to shield the exit. I manage to rush out just in time, nearly snagging the chain under the door. Phew...

Hurrying to Sakura's room. I'm stopped by two strips of yellow police tape ordering no one to enter. Marked out across the door like an X.
Ripping it off, I shove open the door, rushing in but instantly gagging, covering my mouth and nose with my hand. The rooms scent was dreadful. The smell of rotting and decaying flesh corrupted my nostrils. The sound of flies buzzing, ringing through my ears. I glance over to the bed, to see a rotting corpse, just laid there. It looked like it had been there for years. The flesh appeared slimy and practically melting off the bone. The clipboard on the foot of the frame reading 'Sakura's file'. This entire time, I had been talking, to, a ghost?!
Running out of the room as fast as I could, I don't look back and head to medical to treat my wounds. The entire building was now in lockdown, meaning all nurses would be out securing patients. So that room would be empty for me to gather supplies.
