[7] Trip Planning [7]

Calum POV:

"Just make sure she takes takes these antibiotics every morning, it'll reduce the pain in her ribs, and help them heal faster." the doctor said, handing me the bottle of pills.

 "Okay doc, sure thing." I replied

I stole a quick glance at Vanessa. She was sitting down on the hospital bed, her legs dangling over the edge. Her expression was peaceful, not a single trace of worry was evident on her face.

"It usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks to remove a cast, but since she has two she may be keeping them on for about 3 to 7 months." the doctor explained.

"And what about her amnesia? Do you think she'll get her memory back?" I asked.

"All I can say Mr. Hood is that she may or may not. We have no way in knowing for sure."

I sighed, but nodded along to everything he said.

"Oh, I almost forgot to mention be sure she cleans her cuts with a bit of alcohol; its going to burn, but it cleans cuts really well, and have her rub antibiotic anointment on them also to avoid infections. Her head injury is already healed so that's one less injury to worry about."

"Alright, is there anything else I should know?" I asked.

"No, that's about it. After the release papers are signed she's free to go." he replied.

"Done!" I announced, holding up the stack of papers.

"Does that mean we can go now?" Vanessa asked.

"Yup, I just need to return the release form to the nurse, and then will be on our way home." I replied, standing up, I extended my hand out for her, and she gladly accepted it.

We slowly made our way out the door, Vanessa limping a bit because of her leg cast. The doctor had said she couldn't use crutches because she wouldn't be able to hold them properly with her left arm being broken.

It pained me to see her in this condition, but I had to remind myself she won't be like this forever. I admired the way she carried on as if she wasn't injured from a car accident she was in a few days ago. Not one whimper of pain left her mouth, she continued remaining strong for her own sake.

"Um I'm sorry, but what did you say your name was again?" Vanessa asked, turning to face me.

"Calum. Calum Hood" I sighed.

It breaks my heart knowing that she doesn't remember me at all.

"I'm your boyfriend, we've been dating for almost 3 months." I added.

Her smile faded away, and was replaced by an expression of uneasiness.

"L- let's just hurry up, and return the release form, I want to go home already." Vanessa whispered, letting go of my hand, and trying to increase her pace.

Niall POV:

"Now I'm sure your all probably wondering why I called you all to this meeting." Amanda said, staring at each of our faces.

She opened her mouth to continue, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Jake volunteered, already heading towards the direction of the front door.

"Thank you, babe." Amanda replied.
