Kiyoshi felt like crying. He was just now proud of himself for his plan of hugging the golden thigh but he forgot the situation the said golden thigh is.

Looking at Yuki whose face turned pale due to blood loss Kiyoshi felt a little pain in his heart but he didn't think too much about it. In the story DARK SOUL the protagonist's blood can heal anyone but himself so it is out of option.

He began to think of every treasure the protagonist acquired but none of them have the magical property equal to the statue that saved the protagonist. As he was busy thinking how to save Yuki he didn't notice the pair of golden eyes watching him in the dark.

When those eyes saw Kiyoshi was in deep thought it suddenly leaped towards him. Kiyoshi only saw a huge shadow coming towards him before he was pinned down by a huge body.

When Kiyoshi saw the huge creature above him he was scared silly. The beast had a body covered with white fur which is as big as an average human with two tails on its back. It looked similar to cat with golden eyes staring at him. This made Kiyoshi remember a particular text from the original story.

"Eyes golden with twin tails and a body as white as moon,beautiful enough to captivate soul. The king of demon beasts Moon Lighting beast "

The moon Lighting beast got its name due to its beauty. It was an ancient beast that had always been a legend.  It is said to be the king of all the demonic beasts but people slowly forgot about it as no one had ever seen a Moon Lighting beast. 

When Yuki got the power of dark forest he met this beast. The Moon Lighting beast was born in the dark forest and as it was the last living one of its race it stayed in dark forest.

Higher level demon beasts have intelligence similar to human not to mention king of the demon beasts which was born to rule demon beasts. It would never allow a human to command it. So when Yuki became the guardian of the dark forest it disappeared. 

Its not like Yuki did not try to control it,it's just too powerful when he was weak and ran away when he got powerful. It was never mentioned till the end of the story.

Kiyoshi stared at the beast above him which stared back at him. He closed his eyes tight when he saw the beast bring its face closer to him but he was surprised when he felt wetness on his face. He opened his eyes only to saw the enlarged face of the beast licking his cheek.

Kiyoshi: .....

The beast which was happily licking his cheek suddenly stopped after he opened his eyes and again began to stare. But this time Kiyoshi clearly saw the happiness on its eyes which made him speechless. 

  Kiyoshi suddenly remembered how the trees behaved the first time he called them and looked at the beast above him. 

It can't be similar to those trees,right?   

Kiyoshi planed to give it a try and so.

Kiyoshi: "Umm... can you get off me?

Seeing the beast still above him Kiyoshi felt that he was thinking too much. Why would this prideful beast that even the protagonist cannot control listen to him. But when Kiyoshi saw the face of the beast he began to question himself.

The eyes that were originally stared at him with happiness was now filled with tears. The beast looked at him with a wronged look like he had done something bad to it. Then it slowly got up from above him and sat on the ground next to him. What happened next left Kiyoshi stupefied.

It was still looking at him with that wronged look. It then opened its mouth and "Meow~".

Kiyoshi: ......

 Kiyoshi looked at the beast sitting next to him and the awe inspiring king of demon beasts mentioned in the book and thought
