Sneaking into the archives room was simple, Connor kept watch by the security door down the hall while Gavin helped Tasha look for her parents files. The room was dark, only lit by the smallest, dim light on the ceiling.

"Anything?" Tasha asked as she put back a pile of folders.

"Nothing." Gavin sighed, "Tasha, this is going to take forever. If we get caught —"

"We won't get caught." Tasha replied as she moved next to him, leaning past him to grab the next folders.

Gavin couldn't help but laugh as he watched the shorter girl attempt to reach the highest shelf. "Do you need some help, princess?"

Tasha rolled her eyes as she continued to reach for the folders. "No! I got it!"

Gavin's eyes trailed to her shirt, which was exposing a good chunk of skin on her back as she reached for the folders. He shook his head, walking over to her, leaning against her as he grabbed the folders, her hand brushing against him while his body pushed against hers.

"You're not that much taller than me, dick!"

Tasha blushed as she averted her gaze to the ground, pulling her shirt down selfconcioisly.

"Awe, did I make you speechless?" Gavin teased, his body still very close to hers. It was taking every ounce of self control he had to not kiss her and push her up against the wall. His body felt warm as he imagined what it would be like. He mentally cursed himself for thinking it, knowing that he needed to focus on anything but her.

Tasha's blush deepened as she shook her head. "N-No. I, I could've got it." She looked up at him slowly, reaching her hand out to grab the folder from him.

Gavin held it just out of her reach, smirking at her. "Oh, c'mon, Tasha, I thought you said you could get it."

"Gavin! This isn't the time to joke around." Tasha glared.

"I guess I'll just put these back then." His eyes gleamed with a playful light in them.

Tasha huffed in annoyance as she leaned against him, trying to grasp the folder he was holding just out of her grip. "Gavin! C'mon!"

"What's the magic word?" He asked as he leaned his lips close to her ear, his free hand just barely brushing against her hip.

"Fuck you?" She replied in frustration, nearly losing her balance as she tried to jump for the folder.

Gavin let her fall, grabbing onto her just before she hit the ground, his body on top of hers, and he couldn't help but smirk at her flushed face. "I don't think that was very nice, Tasha."

"Me?! Gav, get—" Gavin leaned his body against hers slightly, making Tasha gasp as she felt him uncomfortably close to her.

"Is there a problem?" He asked, his eyes dark as he gazed down at her. While Gavin knew that he shouldn't flirt this much, he knew Tasha saw it as him being an ass, rather than what it really was.

Tasha's green eyes looked up at his, and he wished he could kiss her — Hell, he wished he could just stay like this forever. He wondered if maybe he hadn't been such an asshole to her that maybe they would've been a thing, and then when Connor showed up he wouldn't get her.
