~Chapter 8~

"Um.... what?" I asked blankly.

"You didn't go to the store." He said.

"Yeah, I was but I changed my mind?" The lie was obvious.

"Where were you?" He asked.

"Why the hell do you care?" I asked.

"Catherine.... Where.... Were..... You?" I winced as he used my full name and his tone was scary.

"I was with Cole-" Before I could finish a loud growl ripped through the air and his bones started to snap.

I screamed as my mom ran downstairs. Fur started to sprout around him and I screamed louder. I blinked and was met by a huge black bear with pitch black eyes.

I screamed again and my mom ran to me. "Sweetie Shhhhh, it's okay." She soothed. The thing growled and took a step towards me. I started breathing heavily and coughing. I let out a choked scream and I felt a sudden burst of energy go through me. The wolf's eyes turned blue and he walked towards me and whimpered.

Out of self defense, I shot water out of my hands and caged him inside. "Catherine!" My mom yelled. As fast as it came, the energy sucked out of me and I fell to the ground, seeing black.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw my purple ceiling. What happened? Everything came back to me from before and I let out a glass shattering scream.

Jason sat up, "You're awake" He said.

I screamed and jumped back. "You turned into to a bear!" I yelled.

"Actually it's a wolf." He said.

"I don't give a shit! You still changed into an animal! What the hell was that?!" I yelled.

"I can explain..." I cut him off.

"Explain! You mean explain how you turned into a ducking dog?!"  I ran into the bathroom and locked the door.

"Kitten, please unlock the door." He said.

"Call Shelby and Mariah." I hissed.

"Kitten, I'm going to break this door down." He growled.

"Then I won't talk to you. Call Shelby and Mariah now." I ordered. He sighed and I heard him talking on the phone. I chuckled at the power I had over him. I wiped my glasses off and waited patiently for my friends.

"Cat, it's us. Unlock the door." Shelby said softly. I peeked my head out and hugged them.

"Thank god you're here!" I said. They smiled at me. I knew they knew.

"Kitten-" Jason said putting his hand out to touch me but I flinched away and hid behind Shelby and Mariah.

"She just needs time." Shelby said. Jason sighed and left.

"Okay... now let me tell you the truth." Mariah nodded.

"So you know about the stuff we read on Wattpad about the..... werewolves?" I nodded and she continued, "Well, it's real. The mates, Alpha, Beta, Delta, Rouges, Packs..... I know this is alot to take in but I'm just going to be straight forward with everything."

"So.... werewolves are real? " I asked.

They nodded and asked, "Do you understand?" I shrugged and got in bed.
