Hank's POV

I didn't get a wink of sleep. I spent the entire night watching the news, drinking whiskey, and figuring out which of my bank accounts I could use to pay for Connor. I glanced out the window and noticed the sun was up. I got up from the couch and went to get changed for work.

~Time Skip~

I looked through the case files on my computer at the station, glancing at the entrance every once in awhile. I frowned as noon came around and Connor still didn't show up. Should've know they wouldn't fucking help us. I thought. I sighed and let my vision blur as I stared at Connor's desk.

I heard a pair of footsteps stop at my desk, I looked over and saw Connor. I couldn't help but smile at him, but... he didn't smile back. He just stood there, his LED flashing yellow. Is he... Scanning me? Why is he scanning me?

His LED went blue again. "Hello, Lieutenant Anderson. My name is Connor. I'm the android sent by CyberLife," he said with absolutely no emotion in his voice or on his face.

My smiled disappeared. "What the fuck did they do to you?"

"I'm not sure what you mean."

I stood from my seat. "I mean, you aren't Connor."

He tilted his head. "I'm sorry. Have we met before?"

I was taken aback. "They... Did they wipe your memories?"

"Not that I know of, Lieutenant. I was only released from the lab an hour and a half ago."

"Fucking-A... I need to get (y/n) over here." I turned to grab my phone.

"May I ask who this (y/n) is?"

I just sighed. "I'll explain later. She was very important to you, let's just say that."

I dialed her number and walked away from Connor. He tried to follow me, but I pointed at him to stop. "You stay there. I'll be back in a minute."

I went out of his sight and (y/n) picked up, sounding understandably monotone. "Hello?"

"(y/n). This is Hank. We have a problem."

She sighed. "Hank, I don't think I really want to help with this after what happened last night."

"It's about Connor."

She stayed silent.

"I... I took him to CyberLife and asked them to bring him back. They did that, but he seems to have been reset."

"What do you mean you asked them to bring him back? How?"

I paced across the floor. "The last time he was killed, they uploaded his memories or some shit into the same model and sent him back."

She sounded shocked. "What do you mean 'the last time he was killed'? That's happened before?"

"Well, not exactly that, but yeah. Anyway, I think you should come see him. Maybe his memories just aren't coming through properly."

"Why me? Shouldn't you be enough to trigger some memories."

I groaned in frustration. "(y/n), I don't think you understand how much he cares about you. Just fucking listen to me, please."

She hesitated. "Fine. Should I meet you at the station."

"Sure. Thanks" I hung up and went back to Connor, who was standing in the same exact spot and position I left him in. I rolled my eyes. "Why the fuck are you just standing there?"

"You told me to stay here."

I sat back down in my chair. "You could've at least taken a seat."

Connor looked at the chair behind him, across from my desk and sat down, both feet flat on the floor, his hands in his lap, and a straight posture. He looked at me again. "So (y/n) who is she? Is she your friend or romantic partner?"
