"Maybe you should just learn to do your job better."
Jin nodded his head, pretending to agree with the customer who wasn't quite satisfied with their order. Apparently, they had asked for an extra shot of coffee and two additional pumps of caramel into their frappe but had gotten neither. Although, the receipts showed that neither addition was written down and Jin was now being blamed for lack of listening despite not even being the one to have taken the order.
"I'm sorry ma'am, would you like us to make you another?" Jin asked, not really interested in listening to this woman continue blaming him for something he had no part in.
The customer scrunched up her nose, "no, I'm never coming here again."
And with that, the woman marched out of the shop, making sure to make it obvious when she threw her drink into the rubbish bin.
"Good riddance," one of Jin's co-workers mumbled as they passed by, three drinks in hand. The man agreed under his breath before putting on a small smile for the next customer.
He took their order, making sure to double-check as to avoid a situation like what had just happened.

The five-hour shift felt like it had lasted ten hours, maybe more. By the time Jin had gotten home his feet and back were aching and eyelids were beginning to droop shut. He had accidently stayed up late, binge watching a new show that just came out. Originally, he was watching it with Namjoon but the older man had quickly lost interest and instead gone to read in the bedroom.
It has been two in the morning when Jin finally realised the time and turned off the TV. Considering his shift started at seven in the morning, the man was only running on five hours of sleep which was most definitely not enough for him.
Jin stripped out of his work clothes until he was down to only his boxers. He was too tired to be bothered with getting dressed into pyjamas or anything else really and instead just crawled under the blankets of his bed, finding a comfortable position before he quickly fell asleep.
His dreams were quickly filled with blue skies and delicate clouds while cute little animals ran through a field of flowers. Puppies and kittens were everywhere, equally as soft as the clouds Jin found himself sitting in. It was definitely a pleasant dream that was a nice contrast from what he'd been experiencing lately. Maybe it was because of the horror movie marathon a week prior, but Jin had been having nightmares almost every night. He'd shoot up in bed, a sweat broken out on his palms and breathing heavy.
Namjoon would have to calm him down, pull him back to reality and assure him everything was alright - 'you're safe, I've got you'. Usually his nightmares involved a lot of dark rooms, a mutated monster always jumping out of the shadows and trying to eat him.
Just as it seemed his dream was about to get even better, there was a bright flash and everything disappeared. A loud thud followed that shortly after.
Jin cracked open his eyes and slowly sat up, eyes going straight to Namjoon on the floor.
"What are you doing?" Jin asked as he rubbed the sleep dust from his eyes.
Namjoon picked himself up from the floor, turning around to curse the jeans on the floor, "I tripped."
The younger boy squinted his eyes, still trying to adjust his eyes to the brightness of the room.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up," Namjoon apologised as he pulled off his bag, placing it down on the desk. He emptied the contents inside, returning all his folders to their original places in the drawers. He had needed to go to a meeting today, mostly to discuss what improvements can be made to their library. The meetings were once a month, with other library workers from across the city.
"Uh, yeah, you should be," Jin jokingly sassed back, "I was dreaming about puppies."
"Not me?" Namjoon shot the boy a pout as he finished unpacking his things. The man kicked off his shoes and shrugged off his coat before falling onto the bed, face first into the pillows.
"I hate meetings," the comment was muffled through the pillows but Jin managed to hear it. He rubbed soothing circles into his boyfriends back, leaning down to press a soft kiss against his hair.
"I'll go make dinner."
Throwing the blankets off himself and instead onto the man next to him, Jin got up from the bed and went to the wardrobe. He pulled on a pair of grey sweatpants before walking out of the room and entering the kitchen. He pulled open the fridge and looked through what was inside, making a mental note to go grocery shopping tomorrow morning.
"How does fried rice sound?" Jin asked as Namjoon joined him in the kitchen, one arm going to wrap around his waist while the older man dropped his head onto the younger's shoulder.
"You know what sounds better?" Namjoon asked as he twisted the boy so they were facing each other. His other arm wrapped around Jin's bare waist.
"Fried rice with egg?" Jin suggested as leaned into the man.
". . . ok that does sound better, but what I was going to say was," Namjoon leaned forward so that his lips grazed against the lobe of Jin's ear, "you."
Namjoon's hands glided down the bare back of the younger boy, sending shivers through the boy's spine. His hands went down to cup Jin's ass, giving a gentle squeeze. A smirk of approval came over the man's lips.
"I've been thinking about you all day," Namjoon huskily whispered as he gently bit Jin's earlobe, lips then grazing down the boy's neck to begin softly kissing at his collarbone.
Jin further leaned into Namjoon's touch, hands going up to rest on the man's shoulders, "yeah?"
"Uh huh," Namjoon looked up to meet Jin's gaze, "more specifically, you moaning my name."
