I look at my phone in shock.

I wonder what made him come back, I think to myself.

I hear Danni get up off of her bed and she walks over to me.

I move my phone so she can't see my screen.

"So, what are you doing?" She asked.

"Just texting a friend!"

Technically that isn't a lie, I'd consider Zo a friend.

"Which friend?" Danni asked.

"None of-"

"Danni, Lani, dinner is done!" I hear Rain call from the kitchen.

Danni and I both walk to the kitchen. 

We make our plates and sit at the table.

"Lani, it's your turn to say Grace!" Rain says.

Danni, Rain, and I all lock hands and bow our heads.

I clear my throat.

"God is good, God is great, thank him for this food today!" I say.

"Amen!" We all say.

Rain looks at me and she shakes her head.

"Next time, you're saying something from your heart!' Rain says.

"She doesn't have a heart!" Danni says.

I roll my eyes playfully.

"Keep doin' that so your eyeballs can get stuck in the back of your head!" Danni says while sticking her fork in her broccoli.

I make a disgusted face.

"How do you eat that by itself?" I asked. "Broccoli is fucking nasty!"

"No cursing at the table!" Rain says.

Danni sticks her toungue out at me.

"Childish!"

"Stupid," Danni says.

We both laugh.

"I love you!" Danni says smirking at me.

"I love you too-" I look at Danni.

"Bitch!" We say at the same time.

"I ain't gone ever stop loving you, bitch!" We both say.

After dinner, Danni and I wash dishes.

I look at the time and I see it's ten thirty.

Danni takes a shower and she goes to sleep.

I text Zo back.
